nz escort shells must be some of the most rust free around he world, take a look at what they do as far as rust repairs on turbosport, they are basicly replacing every single bit of steel in the body except the roof.
saw a article like that once they sand blasted the shell all that was left was the roof and part of the pillars then bam a mint mk1 Mexico in the next photo. the quote from the photo was we swept up more off the ground than what was left of the car

id say that you could cut down those two outer ones pretty easy
-
surely you can slot the gearbox x member then theres a bit of meat on them from memory

this reminds me of working on a escort race car that a guy I worked for had. 4 speed straight cut box in it had a cosworth clutch or something from memory and the only way we could get it to work with the clutch difference was space it out with 4 or 5 sandwich plates. to give it the right clearance we had to get longer bolts obviously but it was rather straight forward may have been a 2L flywheel to possibly.
Oh ok sounds like the same thing. Im going to get my mate to order some custom engine mounts. Moving motor forward wee bit. Or might try smashing old ones up
could you slot the mounts ?

flywheel sounds like it could be coming off?
This is common if unbalanced or extreme revs in Holden 6's
Generally the rattling goes away with clutch in and revs raised.
The above sounds like rattly knock.
Remove and check its going on flush, check bolts are correct length, if it is then dont run it til you fix it.
A rattle can also be pressure plate fingers loose
I did flywheel bolts up real good with rattle gun, but will check when removing gearbox tomorrow after visit to gearbox place that just dun it. see what they say.
Pressure plate was brand new..
Whats the chances these parts I got are faulty?
umm im sure flywheel bolts are ment to be torqued up not rattle gunned as this can damage them

you can use i think its a au falcon air con pulley on the supercharger buy obviously you loose the clutched feature on it

sc14 10,000 rpm max
sc12 14,000 rpm max
been forcing over 1 bar out of my sc12 for a while now

imagine how much better the skids could be with another 10kw jared not a bad effort with only 35kw
-
was quite an good night especially watching hemi eat the piece of pizza that will likely result in the ring of fire tomorrow
-
only you Jared could roll a car at a autox although you did try and fail at the gravel sprint in the pimpin galant with its racing slicks on
-

I was there for the whole week as one of the timing teams even had Shaun summerfeild's tv crew film me setting cars off. Saw lots of thrills and spills in the week the team nanna racing guys (in the mazda 121) were by far the funnest what you cant see is a crochet blanket in the parcel tray. The ferrari was impressive how he could take out a pole with the back end and still get snapped doing over 200kph at manfeild. it was an awsome week of racing by all accounts the best weather out of any targa the last 16 years
