  1. The body kit is taking shape. I also had to widen the back flares by 20mm.
  2. Im going to start with it on gravel as there are more events. Power will be about 250rwhp as this is about all you need before traction is a big problem. But if I use it for tarmac later I could run 400+. Clutch setup is: Evo 1-3 flywheel, presure plate and Supra clutch disc.
  3. ***Discussion This project came about after crashing my Evo 4 Rally Car. The idea came about to put the evo 7 engine in a Starlet. Having not built a car to this extent it has been a lot of research and learning. The main idea has been to keep it simple and use ideas from other rally cars that work. Here are some pictures to date of the project. One of the first things to do was put in a Hilux diff and mount coil over shocks in new towers. Here you can see how the diff was mounted further back. Cross member and steering rack is from a S14 Silvia and the shocks are from the Evo. Here you can see how the front wheels have been moved forward to maximise the wheel base. With a bit of research and the want to have a strong gearbox I imported a bell housing from the States and brought a R154 (Supra Turbo) gearbox. Mounting the engine and gearbox. Some progress with all 4 wheels on and steering Seats mounted. Built my own rollcage to Motorsport NZ standards. Front end on, time to make some flares. I started with Starlet N2 flares that I made from moulds that a friend has. The tape was just to see how it would look. That is where I am up to at the moment so will keep updating with progress as it slowly happens.
