  1. I saw this pic of a woody house truck that reminds me a bit of the one you're building It looks cozy on the inside too:
  2. This is looking better and better. Bet you can't wait until you've got a wood burner up and running. I'm interested to see what you put in and if youre going to wet back it
  3. This is coming along big time. At risk of sounding critical I just have a suggestion on the looks. Side on - sweet, cool and unusual shape. From the front..... The bedroom over cab is large, brown and oppressive, I'm imagining that coming through a tunnel towards you, be like a rat looking at a big brown poo turding it's way down the toilet tube. Are you gonna put a window up there? That would make a difference, break it up and give you guys a good view
  4. Flax...... Yep, bet no other house truck has this. Get a load of flax, get some local Maori dudes or culturally aware, learned white fellas who can make flax mats ( at Marlborough Boys even I got taught), weave up heaps of mats then line over the ply. Will look sweet, but may need to be replaced every few years unless you wax them regularly.
  5. Sweet to see the updates. The cladding looks better than I expected. If I knew how to add pics to this i was going to photoshop a common garden shed on to a flat deck. Asynchronous pop outs eh? any reason for that? I'm guessing it gives you space to walk through or a more intersting shape. Unless I'm seeing the photos wrong. Like the look of the bonnet props - are they those Burrman cats?
  6. I was gonna post a pic of some hicks but don't know how to add photos. Do you use something like photobucket and put the URL in? Too lazy to look it up on help section the polystyrine good idea for insulation. Saw this used on gay home improvement program called grand designs where the people building an undrground house used it on the outside of the concrete, they used 300ml thickness! You could use that on the outside of your truck then use hot wire to carve cool shapes in it like dolphins and shit, then park up at Kaikora and charge two dollar for Japanese tourists to take photo in front of it. You could even carve the whole in shape of modern White fridge motorhome and sell it for many dollar
  7. That old Dodge house truck build looks scary. Does it come with a couple of cap wearing check shirted hillbilly rednecks with a skinny mistreated dog called Skeeter? Id be looking for hidden room with some rusty old chains, blood on the walls and THE SMELL OF DEATH
  8. The build is looking sweet. I'm still concerned about the strength of the over hanging bedroom area, but I guess the steel is thicker and stronger looking than the photos suggest? Just thinking about the weight of the cladding, waterbed etc.... Keep up the good work, I'm real keen to watch the progress with this.
