  1. Now gearing up for the next few weeks. Spoke to Marc at Marcs Auto Electrical he is the guy that will lead me on the re wiring of it and installing the hyper pack. he is coming around next week to get started.so I figured I might as well start making room for us to work and unwrap the silly amounts of wires that go every where. straight away found 2 wires that were about 2M long that were not connected at either end. I also hate working under dashes and seeing as taking one out of these is a minor job did that to help with the future.
  2. ok so this weeks mission was sorting the radiator. The fans arrived and fit on very well. With no instructions on mounting with the kit provided I made best practice guesses. - happy with the result. Next was to build a bracket to hold the bottom of the radiator. The normal mounting point for these cars is a radiator with taps on the sides and you bolt it to the verticals that sit either side of the radiator. I didnt want to get a new radiator as there is nothing wrong with the rest of this so I got some ali and went and visited a few mates. I dont have a complete photo of it and I still need to get a two new gromets for the holes but it worked a treat and now the radiator isnt moving an inch.
  3. Cheers Ned. The hyperpak seems like the silver Billet in the situation. Will chuck it in and see how she goes. I have a wide band air fuel gauge too so I can play with the carbs and get the best out of her
  4. Did some shopping this week. 2 x 10 inch radiator fans also discovered the radiator was cable tied in on the bottom so will make up a mount to fix it to. also ordered a hyperpak ignition module for the timing. seemed a better option to converting to K dizzy.

  6. Came with a color matched can in the glove box the previous owner said was a good match. Green of any sort is better than grey was my thought. Im impressed with the match
  7. Good Points. Starts runs drives body seems quite straight - love the color wheels are the style I like Bad Points The wiring is shall we say creative it works but umm how. The springs are all cut different heights the fuel pump in on constant feed so you need to turn it off all the time no fuel pressure reg fan doest cut in you turn it on Timing is run by the efi ecu so the timing is static Over heats in town only one small fan on the radiator That rear bumper when you start the car it turns over with the key forward and actually fires when you let the key go

  14. OK Guys only 30 spots left there's not enough old school entered come on represent. Unfortunatly I'm running it so the KP will stay in the garage
  15. This is awsome check out marzbar comment at the bottom of the page. He's been basically giving the cannon ball stick the whole time as you can read http://www.gpforums.co.nz/thread/373372/2/?s= Then he busts out this pearler 'I won't be entering, I don't have a licence, or a car for that matter, though I suppose I could steal one of my dad's?' I'm dumb struck to how some one with no licence or car would even enter in a debate about a car event. Go the Geeks
  16. If your trying the judging thing try hit up some sponsors for prizes this year I've found through cannon ball they are interested in looking at one event before putting up prizes so let them know about this one ask for prizes and they will probably support next years one.
  17. An educated guess suggests a cam less engine, we havn't had any enter yet bit gutted really the only part of modified car scene not represented
  18. I will bring my Kp there but if it's the 9th I'm doing (running) Cannon Ball so I won't be there. Just my 2c I've always wanted to come to one but was in the Naki now in the 09 I'm there.
  19. only $65 plus fuel dude get 4 people $16.25 each and a tank of gas so let's say $40 each and you have a good chance at getting some kind of prize I ignore it that post is getting a few views it's doing what it's meant to do and the people putting those coments are probably not going to enter so they can get .... (you know the rest) I'm getting really busy now. We've to a whole heap of stickers to print it's going to be a busy lead up to Xmas for the Aucklandmotorsport team.
  20. Entries close 25 dec. so don't put it off come on lets get some old skool happening
  21. Get in quick mate spots are filling fast. Next year we might have to book a bigger venue. Cheers mate you'd be supprised how many haters there are out there for it. Click here for Haters
  22. The inventory for the trip lunch in rotorua access to the prize giving/after party and a chance at some pretty cool prizes. $65 for up to four people to have a cool day out (plus fuel) is good bang for buck as far as i'm concerned. Gator@aucklandmotorsport.co.nz
  23. if you wanna do from top to bottom there is the devils run cost $4000 to enter. I don't have $4000 spare. But for $65 and some petrol you get to cruise with up to 100 cars from auckland to rotorua have a lunch and head back and get the chance to win some mean prizes. so the big option is there just heading for a different market. Thanks Gator@aucklandmotorsport.co.nz
