what would 185s on a 7" rim look like??

I'll probably get my rostlyes widened too but i just5 got new tyres for them so i guess itl have to wait till there fucked

that eltiewheelcompany place said they charge $300+gst for a set of 4 to get widened and $20+gst to get em back up to auckland after there done

worse handling cos isnt enough force spread out in the cut spring or something

yeah same thing was wrong with my viva when i got it, just got the power to coil and it was sweet

so according to the rebuilders they can get about 112Kw at the wheels out of it not too bad considering it only has 60 odd hp to begin with

mmm the 1800 is gonna cost me $730 to do the rebuild and buy the engine and all of the above stuff plus engine painted Im forced to go with this the deal is just to good to pass up i dont think I'll get twin holleys though might just get twin stromburg cd200s

anyone have any idea how much power it would have? or as i said before theres a 1800 engine on trademe for 40buks i could have the same thing done to for about the same price just a little more

yeah so i have a 1256cc viva engine there pretty shit is it worth doing anything to it or is it always gonna be piss weak I can have it bored out to 1300cc, with strengthened conrods and crankshaft from the 2300(magnum vauxhall engine) refaced. Also give it a lumpy camshaft. Polished and ported head with a good plain, new strengthened head gasket, new inlet manifold, with a custom manifold with twin holley 400s, extractors, new distributor and coil, with titanuim valve springs and new valves. All that for about $600 or is that not worth the money for performance? thanks edit.. could also get pretty much same thing done for 1800 just a little bit price increase

I got bored today so i started to sand the body, was only doing it for an hour or so I'm going to get stuck in tomorrow heres some pics found a bit of bog in the front guard passenger side sanded it back to reveal a little bit of rust

ok new post not alot done except I've changed plans. I now have the engine bay sand blasted, and I'll get around to priming and painting very soon heres some pics still undecided about the colour, i change my mind every day

I got a replacement engine to get it back on the road, I don't know if I want stay with 1256cc its pretty gutless but it'l have to do for now thermostat housing is all eaten away so ill use the one from my stuffed engine and also the rocker cover is better on the other engine its a bit dirty but hopefully not permanent so i wont bother cleaning it and the engine bay before i put it in at least i got a mint radiator with it and hoses and also a new clutch plate

so this is my engine removal post before midway after big pole that literally fell out engine crane= plank of wood and rope aaannnd now im stumped for what to do next.... ideas????

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=21162 DISCUSSION almost a year ago i picked up this vauxhall viva cheap as chips on trademe you may notice the paints a bit dodgy and that inst an illusion it actually looks like a block of wood in real life too mmmm red we went and picked it up and towed it back got it in the garage, the previous owner said he had it for a year and hadn't got it running. But all that it needed was a new wire to the coil and it started on the 3rd attempt that was surprisingly easy then done nothing for ages just random little things that needed doing and i got some nice rostyles powder coated and repainted i really need to lower this, looks a tad high then once again nothing happened for a long time because of house moving and life stuff till then one day the engine died. i got photos of removing that ill do it in another post

no? i want to make sure they do fit before i spend my money on springs you even said yourself that your not sure they exactly the same

how much to get springs compressed?

maybe i should just cut em? any advice on cutting springs?

from pedders shocks for $71ea plus gst and i asked about springs somewhere and they said $280 per pair

i emailed shock shop and they said they only have rear shocks available for the viva at $180 for the pair of Monroe GT-GAS is that a good price?

did he just chop his springs?
