  1. yep? maybe the phase of "leaks electricity" is wrong. but I seriously didn't know that distributor cap "melt hole" could actually cause distributor to malfunction.
  2. Ohkkkk. Now, I have sucessfully set the timing. Short circuted the engine light while setting the timing around 10 degree. after I took the Jump wire out, the engine idels around 15 degree. Anyhow, The real reason my car misses firing is because there is a hole in the distributor cap and leaks electricity. Ordered geniune one from toyota at very reasonable price again.
  3. Right, After going thru all the trouble and money, I think made the car much worse than Facotry. Anyway, I got the Exhaust properly mounted at Pit Stop today, Glad I didn't attempt to do all the cuting and welding and bending. I Now started to Enjoyto sit in the chair having coffee and watching the pros thru the window doing work on my car HAHA.
  4. Right, I will try to buy a haynes manual I guess. Would really want to get a toyota geniunie tho. But anyways, I can just adjust the timing back to 15 ish would be running fine. also, going to get a heat sheild for my dizzy cap, I am assuming supercheap, bnt, repco have them?
  5. I can sell them, but I am guessing nobody would pay good money for them. I Got the $2500 receipt as Geniune New Jap Import. Simon, Would you able to tell me what you have done? etc?
  6. So got two of these exactly same geniune brides I don't know where to put it, seems bit of waste to let them gathering dust in the garage. Trying to score some of these legs, don't want the arms as they're pretty ugly. and some metal work, drilling, grinding, welding, all should be good practice. anyone done this before? Please note, no spam please, Geniune intersted to build a cool chair.
  7. No, Panda is gone for good. Everything from now on is for the grandfather.
  8. Right, finihsed New water pump, new thermostate, all seals, all new hoses, pretty much all new cooling system except the radiator. looks like the head gasket is fine as there isn't water loss for now. Gutted on the timing thing again, ned helped me tune it, set the timing to 15-20 degree runs ok, then I wanted for 8-10, which now miss firing heaps when ever I accelerate, but idels fine. I do notice I have a melt dizzy cap due to I put the cusco extractor in, could be some damage inside the dizzy as well I guess. would this be the problem? I am guessing the 4age factory timing is 8-10? anyway, I am going to reread the timing thing you guys told me, and do bit more research online and see how it goes. errrh, I hate trouble shooting anything electric.
  9. yehp about 1000 a pair brand new if I could find them second hand would be 500-700 if it's good condition.
  10. took the lights out as well, then placed the lense side down ( fail). on what? spinning diamond tipped saws? on some interior bits I took out (fail) Light scratches can't notice if you do see it close, but still need to tidy it up otherwise 1000 dollars a pair if I can find them. fuck!
  11. took the lights out as well, then placed the lense side down ( fail).
  12. Entire Pump(front and rear plate) with all gasket(including thermostate gasket) $95, thermostate $20, two radiator hoses $52, so all up + shipping $9- 10 dollars. great great deal from Mark at toyspeed. Will check the O ring grove etc, may buy some sealant just in case I need it. Also, I am a such idiot ( why does this always Happen to me).. Last time I took the interior out to check the rust, I scratched my tail light. Now I have used Maguair Plastic Polisher kit, couldn't fix it. Luckly my Supercheap Bro willing to refund it and I told Him I am getting the most expensive repair kit (Turtle wax) $48 which will come with sand paper in the kit, if that doesn't work I will keep the kit still. Anyone have experince with fixing scratches on tail lights?
  13. the online manual says just put it back in as what most people would think it would. never mentioned anything special. thanks danger for the confidence boost if it fails then that's just me been me i guess. All the new parts should be here by tomorrow.
  14. Right, Thanks for the warning D1 I guess I will try it first, I assume you are talking about the O ring is likely to to fell out when I put the pump againest the block? I could try some sealant first to "glue" O ring on the block or something. Anyway I will see How I go and report back to you. Cheers
  15. Might not be able to drive the car, as still waiting for water pump and few other bits to get here on Wed.
  16. Mark on toyspeed. Entire water Pump+ thermostate+ hoses. good deal, cheaper or same as Aftermarket brands.
  17. Errrh, well since I am getting the water pump and thermostate from toyota I mise just spend everything else there too.
  18. I see layer of rust/deposits inside of the top and bottom of the radiator hose, and it crunches when I squeeze them. Replace them I guess?
  19. The ones that online doesn't seem to be complete/ genuine. I don't know where rob got his from tho. Want a hard copy so yehp, don't mind spend the money as long as it isn't too expensive.
  20. I am, but don't know where to get it FFS. Maybe should buy it from Toyota.
  21. Would be keen for a track day boys, once I get my cooling and exhaust system fixed.
  22. right, I will ask for a quoate with the pump + all gasket.
  23. 16100H, Is the o-ring in the link you sent to me steve, I guess I will have to see what material it would be once I ordered it from toyota. so far, Minimum I need to order from toyota: O-ring gasket, Thermostate+ Gasket , Gasket from the thermostate housing goes to number of pipes, top pipe gasket, 2 maybe one little rubber ring goes from the pump to the top pipe + rear strut nut that I forgot to order before. Pretty much all gasket in that link you sent to me steve. also, just found out there is a gasket With sealant between the front and rear of the water pump plate, is this necessary ?
