Kids mx5 has suffered great death, suspect related to alarm (and lack of driving).
New battery. New alternator. Parked up. No longer gets lights to dashor power to system, as if killswitched.

Wow, time flies.

Nah, I have a mate who will come have a look for a first pass, see how it goes after that and limp it to someone decent. Carb.

Full disclosure: I'm selling to buy a bike for that full final boss level MLC

I'd say my Galaxie but doubt itd fit in your garage and its carbed.
My kid is selling his NA mx5 I think. Needs some fiddling (not Brierley style, just little tidying) but its low kms and good fun to drive.

I'm kinda 50/50 - s'posed to meet some tyrekickers who want to kicktyres on the Galaxie. Also have some junk to sell.

Oh yeah, I met him, he's a real GC and plan on taking my XB in for him to look at because the head lights are shitting themselves. Will chat to him about it.

My 4.1 Alloy Head XE was LPG, which is now off, and has been sitting for ages; it's stuttery and spluttery, and is missing a bit of the emissions gear, and I'd like it dialled in by someone who really knows what they're doing before I chuck it back on the road, and I'd really like to do that this year. Can anyone recommend someone in Auckland (pref West) who can get it rocking along?

I've just put it on a couple of facebook pages for the tyre kickers, will consider Trademe in the new year.
Haven't been that worried about selling it, but starting to get a bit tight on space and i don't roll it that often.

Tell everyone it was flagged for rust and borer.

Cheers fellas, I regreased the shit out of it, take it off the stands and it was fine. I think the lack of load call is right.

Has a warrant. Still for sale.

Because I'm real OS and only really ever worked on RWD cars, I'm enjoying* the challenge of replacing the CV boots on my kids 1989 Galant.
I got them on, and gave it a bit of a test fit up, and put it in drive on the stands and tested the steering, but the inner joint is quite clunky on full lock. Is that likely a lack of grease ( I suspect i didn't slam enough in) or is it indicative that when i took it out and booted it up, i missed some clip or something?
*fucking hating

If you can scout the Galant that'd be dope thanks.
-
They've got an SG6 Galant (1988-91ish shape) and I'd be keen to know if it has a RF lower control arm before I trek over there.
Or can you just call them and ask? That'd be retro, and cool.

Don't think so, it's a Parkway like this:
Basically want to avoid doing anything that needs extra inspections and compliancing.

So here's my dilemma:
I have a mate who bought a Mazda Bus converted to a camper. It's of a size it needs COF not WoF but can be car licenced. He want's to install a roof basket. He found something along the lines of this, maybe a bit bigger, with some side walls.. https://www.vehicle-accessories.com.au/image/cache/catalog/42105B-Pioneer-Platform-00-900x540.jpg
Now the bus is wider, and the gutter has an awning, so it can't mount to the gutters, even if we got special brackets fabbed up.
Is brackets welded to the roof (which we'll reinforced underneath) ok?
Is making brackets screwed to the reinforcing underneath ok?
