Do ae86 or x7 Cressida front struts fit? And converting to IRS would be difficult? I was thinking hilux diff and 4 link? I have parts for that left over from my last project.

Solid rear end 1984 gx60 - adjustable suspension, what will work? Brakes etc, what's the best bet to get some decent callipers without changing stud pattern, or go 5x114.3?? Still have 1jz sitting here and this seems perfect now that my corona has gone to a better home. Any help with anything related would be awsome Thanks

Its been a while since iv even seen the car, alot of the rust is done now minus around the windscreens, i have a 1jz-gte with a custom ali front facing plenium etc etc, wondering weather i use the w series bellhousing thats with it and run with a w5/7/8 or bite the bullet and get a r154.. unsure of the size difference.. and if i will ever have the balls to drive it to the point of smashing a w series box... once i can get the front windscreen out, it doesnt want to come out at all... ill get the rust finished and start getting everything into place for mounting this engine... so end of september she will be back home safe and sound and i can start working on the finer points... an engineer is cutting/shaping the firewall and gearbox tunnel to fit the 1jz in a nice position... hopefully i can get it road legal... suspention up front is my main headache... I have no idea what to do with the front double wishbone? setup...

Thanks for your info man, dead set on the altezza engine now. I won a 3sge to w55/7/8 bellhousing on tradezizzle before. I'd probably end up changing valves etc when the head gets done anyway. Just wonder what they are capable of

Currently working on getting a 3sge into my corona, super nice build thread and ke70. Just a question, I'm going to strengthen my shock mounts and fit something similar to your coilovers in the rear. Is it best to have them sitting upwards like that? Correct the huge angle the factory shocks have?

I'm going to be putting a 3sge into my corona, I'm about to purchase an engine but I'm unsure what I'm looking at. I don't really want to use a 3sgte because of the re routing water lines, modding bellhousings etc to move the starter away from the exhaust manifold, inlet etc etc. I was planning on using a gen 5 3sge from an altezza, popping it open forging etc. would an oil cooler help with not having oil squirters to keep the piston crown temp down? I want to make 5 - 600hp Any info would be great

Going to fit a 3sge from an altezza, a black top 5th gen with a w58. Rebuild the engine with forged internals, somehow strengthen the crank, lots of fuel and a big turbo... I want 500whp... I'll get back out to the workshop next week and get some progress shots. Finally have the money available to complete a project like this. Iv been dreaming of it for years! I wanted a 2jzgte in it but I think the 3sge and turbo it will be plenty of fun and a lot more sensible/wallet friendly

Someone had "converted" it to column change. With the bench seat sitting in there. Anyway that's All gone now. The 18r and random gearbox is for sale. Rust repairs underway

Yeah I'm pretty well decided on a 3sge from an altezza. It's at the workshop now, all stripped, I'm working on the doors etc at home. Fitting an altezza rack, then figuring out qa1s for the front and fitting bigger brakes and callipers. Then mounting the 3s, w58 adapting somehow. Then onto the hilux diff with 4 link and qa1s in the rear too...

Hey guys, I'm trying to figure out how I can go about making something a little more than mild, I want adjustable height, anything I can do with camber? Also I want to change the steering box to a rack setup, what would be good to use here? Thanks

Goes away for a cage and bodywork etc, all the major stuff I can't do... I need to get the engine sorted but I'm still undecided... Ideas? Anyone? Running heaps better, found that the generator has been rebuilt twice because of a charging fault, once in 1999 and once in 2009, I hope its just my battery that needs a charge... Not holding charge, runs alright now though, fixed the horn, started to panel, getting there... More sanding tonight, then probably get it primed properly... Cant get the fu#*ing hub caps off... !!!!!! sh!t god damn!!! Anyone with a visor? i want

Agree with the bonnets, mine has zero rust anywhere else but the bonnet pretty much falls apart at the lightest touch!

spent the day sanding today... got it running abit better aswell, fixed the horn... got rid of all of the unsanded bog from when i picked it up... thats about all...

Yeah definatly want to keep with old colour scheme, nothing metalic or pearl... i like the brown with cream roof idea though... Just not sure on a brown that would look nice... any ideas??
