-10 at idle i think? mine is and that seems to be what most toyotas ive come across run.
different setting for limp mode though

It doesnt look that bad id try head gasket only and see. What do the bores look like?
Could pressure test the head and go from there?
-
do a bit of googling on how to put a 4age in diagnotic mode then
-
Very straight forward. you will need a 12point 10mm deep socket to get the head bolts out and thats about it. Valve stem seals complicate matters a bit but not hard to do.
If it has not been overheated just bang a gasket only on there and see if thatl sort it.
PM me for parts if you want.

fuck could even be wheel balance or tyres. only while in gear?
-
A bp4 plug is really hot, nothing much would run over a 5, turbos usually run 6 heat range.

Narva do them so should be cheap enough through repco/ partmaster etc

Hey
Just wanted to know what the deal is with the conversion from foot to hand brake.
Some say that you just get the hand lever and bang it in but what about the cable right back to the rear wheels? do i need this too or is there a joiner behind the lever?
its a bit hard to see above the tranny.
Ive done manual swaps before but not the handbrake part and i want to do my conversion in one hit once ive got all the bits together.
On a side note, anyone got a clutch pedal or suitable handbrake?
I have Bell, cylinders, W55 box and flywheel so far.
Cheers

Felt like it literally kicked you in the back when you dropped second.

The point about tightening the bolts at ride height is important.
-
random google, but thats the comp i have, its all adjustable etc and pulled my 16v smallport head apart no worries.

The medium is fine and any good quality filter will have a built in pressure bypass andd anti return valve so itl be sweet.

What are those wheels?

Some spring tips i picked up working for autolign. May be obvious to some, whatever.
-More coils = softer
-Wire diameter changes ride height by approx 30mm per mm of extra spring wire thickness.
Therefore a 10 coil 12mm spring is soft as shit while a 5 coil 15mm wire would suit the likes of a 4wd.
Progressive is when some coils are bunched together, as they are closer they are softer and will collapse when the car is on the ground allowing the remaining 3ish coils of the spring to load up when heavier with mates in car etc.
-Progressions all pile up so 3x coils progressive takes up 30-35mm of space
My suggestion is find a spring which is slightly longer but thinner in wire by a mm or two, something like 5-6 coils.

Central automatics in penrose.
Young guy there is a GC

Why not just ring NZ Gaskets, ACL or STA. They all sell replacement aftermarket head bolts pretty cheap. Thats gotta be better than re-using old ones.
