  1. The 1.6 accord engine goes straight in afaik, i got one a couple years back for $500 with the 1.6 and 5 speed in it. Was pretty scary on the gravel.

It was the white one at last years jap meet in albany- looking much better than when i owned it.

Super easy to work on also, would trade again :D

  2. ive got a gearbox sitting at work that we put gear up into years ago (motor up variant)

    its an nze121 corolla box

it actually started to corrode the gears and it hasnt stopped, the box is fucked and it just keeps eating away at the chroming on the gears. nasty shit.

    about the additives-

some of the oil stop leaks are designed to 'revitalise' the seals, ie make them swell up like when you run oil through heater hose or some such.

also lifter quiet is like engine flush so it dissolves build up in hydraulic lifters but this will in turn make most engines noisier by thinning out the oil.

Proma MBL8 is the business though, will even get you a few more months out of a completely rooted gearbox.

  3. Some are negative switched so check polarity.

i think a 2pin toggle switch would be the go man should be resonably straight forward once you get into it with a test light.

  4. I did this few years ago.

made a mount same as shizzle says, bit of square bar welded to the original crossmember

auto ecu worked fine left in neutral

    driveshaft was different.

everything else was straight forward, pretty easy conversion

  5. If the bilstiens have floating type alloy spring seats you could always get circlip groves cut lower in the shock body and just have it slammed with the factory springs?

progressive spings are a good idea as they will be soft unless fully laden.

i believe a lot of euros have very long springs with thick wire diameter but tons of coils. more coils is softer but thicker wire is firmer.

autolign can help the boys in the workshop know their shit i worked there about a year ago.
