So I have decided not to continue with the FC. I got the motor out and took it back to Mark Juilian, but after talking to him I can not justify spunking another $5-6k on the car.
So I will put it back together and sell it with low compression in the rear housing and hope it sells. I've spent a lot of money on it but enough is enough.
Besides, I want to convert and bag the ute so need some monies for that.
Holy smokes batman 5-6k
Did the seals eat the plates and housings?

God damn mazda axles....
The bounty/b1600 lsd's the same mechanical/plate lsd as the early mazda?
-
Guess it depends how far that chip travelled.
Incorrect clearance?
Housing shrinkage causing the apex to become tight when hot?
-
Room to chuck a 6mm spacer between the hub and disc?
Then you have 6mm to make an adaptor bracket.

Off to mess it up

Got a set of gto front brakes chilling in a box at home if you need any measurements
Learn something everyday didnt know there was a skinny 4 pot nissan caliper out there.
I have a set of FD RX7 4pots which are the same as FC just no fins. MAZDA casting machined off cause i was gonna put them on the escort. Also have a set of Gen 2 RX7 rear calipers and disks that i probably wont use anytime soon.
Have the fronts been welded? The crossover port for the fluid is cast into the mazda writing so you have to be carefull not to damage/weaken that section

Read the hobby car manual
Pretty sure there is relationship between the strut towers and tubing that counts most modification out

You would burn your fingers.....
Reality is you would end up with something that doesnt run true even if you could manage to do that......

Agreed id be looking at the ignition side and replacing with new parts.
Heat can do funny things to 30 old parts

I reckon it's the same car wher you had the rims sorted. Tried to get hold of previous owner to find out if he had any probs but no joy as yet. Would save me a lot of time and money if I knew if he'd had probs.
cheers
Was at wheeltech down birch ave garry or graham was his name and he was the owner i think.
