Just one from a mini wreckers or similar will fit or does it have to be ADO16 specific? Alternator will provide more charge then generator, correct? Cheers for the help!

Was it an Alternator or Generator? I think mine has a generator and when its at idle with the stereo going, it doesnt have enought power to make the indicator relay work

Hey guys, I have recently put a stereo with sub/amp into my Austin 1300. My problem is... The original generator cant keep up and everytime I have to stop somewhere, im scared of turning off the car in case in wont start again Does anyone know of an easy way of replacing it with a higher output alternator? Any shops/places in CHCH that can help me out with parts/brackets? Cheers, Jared

If you can get it out to Kaiapoi, the Kaiapoi Muff Dive Shop (I shit you not) is a good cheap place otherwise the usuals, Pitstop or Magoo. Wouldnt say 'cheap' though...
