Fuck yeah, damn why didnt I take pics of that shit.
Only saw one fail the whole time we were there, motorbike took corner too fast+pothole+super overloaded as above = shit everywhere
Did you get any pics of the bikes that have the bbq's attached that they park up and sell food on the street?

Shit, no photos of cars, but heres some of Thailand anyway
Was over there playing in a sevens comp, epic nights OTP in Bangkok and Pattaya after the tournament.

Agreed thailand is a win for OS cars. Though they like to rice things up a bit there too.

Say what, 2e is an epic powerplant, go wash your mouth with soap!

If he lets you look around in the back room where they spray they normally have some old classics getting redone. At least they did when I was last there.
I don't know what they are like price wise, but like I say they do a good job.
Even fixed up some of the underbody that the previous owner did damage to in the Mrs caldina when it was in last time round. Just chucked on the insurance claim. Like I said GC as, and they seem to know their shit.
If you pop in, you can say steve the guy whose white falcon wagon got written off told you to check them out. Don't think it will get you a discount but will be a yarn when I take the corolla in for some rust repairs.

navaras are made wrong, indicator on the left side, whats your budget?
Huh? not the one I was driving on the weekend. 2008 Navara ute. Turbo diesel, bouncy as fuck on open road thanks to what I think were leaves front and rear. Couldnt be fucked getting on the ground and looking/wasn't my ute.
Plenty of tow though, lots of road between auckland->welly->auckland to test that out
Have to say, latest Hilux ute turbo diesel for the win. Mrs dad has one, (high suspension one), so fucken tough tows cars and horses mean and is all good on highway

I have been using crystal panel beaters on Carr rd. Not exactly cheap but do a pretty decent job and Neil the guy who runs the place is a GC.
My old man takes his company cars there, he's fixed my corolla, my mrs' caldina (twice lol), mums car, sent my old falcon twice, once for rust repairs, mean job, second time I sent it to them but it got written off. But he was GC as, letting me come take my reyums and counds when the insurance company wanted to write the car off with them on it. Fuck NAC
Slightly OT: Neil gave me a mean quote when some unlicenced asian drivers arse fucked by corolla with their galant several years back. Just went to their house with the paperwork and they paid in cash as soon as I said police. lol.
Fuck that was a rant

Looks like darth vader without a bumper

If built for drags I would assume that must be turbo. I generally dislike rotaries but mostly thats because of the crowd associated with them. That said I do have an appreciation for the engine design (wankel (sp)) just because its different from a piston engine.
I also appreciate good engineering though, and this looks pretty tidy like tidy work.
Black wheels would have been tuffer though.

Hope cops put the squeeze on some of these fuckers. Have some boys running crying to mum and dad for sure. Fuckwits

What hp or cfm you reckon then? Will see what my uncles one is cos I'm too titeass to buy one etc
-
Was always gunna cut it, but to exspose the extent of it was keen for a sandblast for cheap.
-
Caught wind of the $30 sandblaster kits from supercheap (thanks to dellorto) and got me thinking it could be the go for getting rid of some of the rust in my corolla (as I found more last weekend)
Rust is all on frames etc, not panels, so I assume a sandblaster would be ok?
Any experience with the supercheap kits? shit?
What should I go for if not one of them? I like cute wee gem's results so could look to get one like his, if I knew what it was/where to get it.
Cheers
Stevo

i wasnt actually there, but a friend had a heavily workd l16 in a datto 1600,
twin 45s and full race cam. he got pulled up and the cop proceeded to ask if he had a cert for the rotary conversion.
he popped the bonnet and the cop still was certain it was a rotor. hahaah lol at the epic fail of a man not knowing what an engine looks like, let alone trying to enforce law.
Imagine that conversation going down
"But officer it has pistons"
"No, no, I know a rotary when I see/hear one"
-
I think it fits but to get a proper match requires porting. One of them has a sort of 'D' shape iirc. Can't remember which one
-
A toyota silvertop 4age does 150bhp (whatever their quoted hp was)
-
Mustang look slike the one from the NAC ad's
-
Lol I thought he was takin the piss when he said it to start with.
-
I have a rotary buffer that I picked up second hand. Don't really wanna use the clothe thing thats on it though cos I don't know what products have been on it. Does repco/supercheap stock replacement ones? can anyone recommend a brand?
-
see if its been put in his name?
then be a cunt and de reg it
but i spose you need to sirender the plates to vtnz any way
Don't have to surrender plates
You can dereg it by saying that the new owner hasnt changed ownership
-
Not sure but you could always strip it, sell parts and send the shell to the scrap steel yard if you are worried about getting caught reselling it etc
-
Some prems were imported with the single lights....
True? Learn something everyday. Maybe thats the case for the pre-HJ ones? I have an HX and an HZ both twin lights. Those are the only models I look at
-
Don't prem's have twin headlights. Mine does. Every other one I've seen does

Lol, yeah steered clear of food stalls on the street, A mate bought what he thought was bottled orange juice, turns out the kid was squeezing the oranges and mixing it with the tap water on the side of the road.
He had the shits for a week
