Not so keen on the silicon (assuming it is actually just silicon) around the windscreen.

I think proper windscreen sealant/glue is a urethane type product from memory.

Please make that just a temporary fix!

There is a formula to work this out, forget where it is though, something to do with effective area of individual throttles in use at anyone time.
