For the rear, what about putting in a sheet of MDF from the windscreen down to the seats? Gives you free space for the speakers to mount flush on the MDF. Cuts out the two angles and makes use of the void in between if that makes sense. Cover the mdf in black/whatever colour carpet and it would look pretty tidy.
Took the screen out of my today and thought it would look good

Depending on how you're doing it you could add a fine mesh to the bottom near the pickup so grease can't get through

Keen as Would save me buying a trademe bbq for the grills haha, that would be awesome.
You have PM

Cheers, will have a looksie for suitable gloves. You got plans to use a vacuum with that setup to clear the dust inside the unit? Do you have anything inside that the parts sit on or is it empty? I'm going to try some BBQ grills. I'm going square over a drum though as I have tools for woodworking but not sheet metal so would make it hard work to use a drum. Will post up pics in a couple weeks when i've got something made up

Thats mean
Going to design one up this weekend I think, by that I mean google search for pics and copy some other design Probably going to make it out of MDF and chuck some wheels on it to keep that shit outside. Did some blasting with glass, and made a right mess outside
You reckon you could fit a wheel inside that enclosure? I'm wanting to have one big enough to do wheels. How long are those gloves and where ya get them from?

Nice work, will keep on eye on this as i'll need rear / front(maybe)
-
For disc rear end i've managed to get away with scuffing the pads/ discs up, but next time that didn't work so took the calipers in and got them checked over / regreased whatever for like $40 and they are perfect now.

Also, is there a reason you can't have it 'FI' with the carb anyway?
-
if a car had a cert for a FI 4age, will it need a recert when it get 'upgraded' to carbs?
I would have thought that 'technically' if you change anything thats written on the plate its void.

does a car need a horn to be legal?
As a side note to this, it doesn't have to be on the steering wheel My sister bought an ex disability car that had the horn on the door panel for your elbow to press. As well as the steering wheel (which hd stopped working). Had an argument about it with the WOF guy so printed up the requirements and got the item taken off the list
Only has to be accessible to the driver or the likes. I just couldn't be fucked fixing the steering wheel button as I couldn't get the damn surrounds off.
/random useless bit of info.

Grind the fker off then, no problems come wof time then since slip on spacers are a no no
-
but im talking about 4 wheels non turbo 1300cc cars
Get a nice steep hill and a standard 4k might get close to that

LOL, well you've seen my car CUL8R, and its not that different to the accord I guess.....
Black, shadow chrome wheels, 20v, oh dear I shouldn't go on
At least I know whether or not to show though haha I'll be there in 1-2 years in something old, you'll see!!!

Does anyone have or have access to a lathe?
I have an axle that i'd like to get shortened and have the diameter reduced along its length to 25mm with a couple of smaller step downs on the spline end.
Anyone able to help me out? Happy Cheaper the better
Cheers. Any recommendations for places to go for this would also be a great help.

Rules suck for those that take ages to get their oldschool cars on the road!!!
1987 Gemini
1996 Levin
So yeah 0%
Not really fair considering...
1973 escort - waiting on funds
1980 corona - waiting on miracle
1982 starlet - had 3 years just not on road for much of that..
3/5 = 60% if I twist the rules
Excluding parts starlet which was fully running, just no reg. RIP

^^ fkn aye haha, that sounds like something i'd do
-
Pending chch location / above options falling through I may be able to do it.
Probably half that via NZ post
-
I could be wrong.... but i've heard people mention 'donuts' before, which I assume is 4 90s in one Might be a cheaper way to do it, then chop them to suit. This was probably in regards to intercooler piping, but you never know!

Execution is a bit ghey though. That dovetail-ish spoiler doesn't look to hav cutouts to open the boot, and even if they didn't want access to it, what a shit way of doing it.

His fabrication skills are mean!

Where are you located?
Although the mrs will shoot me, if you do decide to sell it and are local I would be keen as for a look. Sounds a lot better than my rusty as hell corona

Mean deal!!
Sounds like a minter!
stock air filter to pod filter queries

Seeing as you're doing it for sound alone, and aren't worried about power loss etc..
You'll need to put the pod filter on an adaptor probably on the end of the AFM, if you put the pod inplace of the airbox you should be all good. For sound
