Well done man

Speaking of garages.... I worked on a place recently that had 3 double garages and one had a high ceiling for the hoist it met all of my dream house criteria... the remaining part of the criteria was a nice view
-
That's HOT
Didn't spot many tools in those photos, that takes away major points imo
-
All picked up, almost needed a trailer with such massive balloon tyres
-
Just remember to take a video of the inspector doing himself an injury when he tries to open it!
I found this out when my struts failed on work van
-
Yeah I don't mind, just let me know when they are at the depot / what name etc. Got tyres too or just rimz?
Offers there anyways
-
Can do if sockburn branch.
I don't even drink, so it would be a freeeeebie
-
Sweet, yeah its an industrial sandblaster doing the work, so imagine itl be good an rough.
How much is that POR metal prep?
Is it worth cleaning it down with that first, or will something like meths be fine to wipe it down with before painting?
Cheers
'POR15' is a whole system, for best results use it for the whole job.
1, marine clean to clean it
2, metal ready to etch/etc the metal
3, paint with por15
Whereever you buy it from should be able to supply you all the info sheets as to how to use it. Its good stuff, just has to be done right otherwise don't waste your time using it.
Its all I use now, have done a whole floor with it, and it looked like new 1-2 years on. (then sold it) All 3 stages of the job are about as thin as water, so coverage is huge.

Probably more of a Tech question really..but anyways..
http://www.springs.co.nz/index.html - These guys specialise in that kind of thing.
Pretty sure blocks are just a cheap way to lower, not the best way, just the cheapest.
Some info on block lowering: http://www.eatonsprings.com/blocks.htm
More info on leaf springs in general, seems to be pretty legit info.
-
Good info, might have to keep an eye on for a couple of mk1 leaves then for when I go lower
-
Nah man, just the escort
-
Cheers I'll be running standard skinny as tyres so shouldn't be an issue
-
m0ss4yy, did you get another leaf put in or was it stiff enough with the factory springs?
-
He might be making brmm brmmm sounds himself

Check the sparkplug isn't dirty, give it a clean.
Spray in some start ya bastard if ya got some lying around
-
What about some ~15-20mm bolt on spacers / adaptors 4x110 to 4x114.3?
Sounds too easy to work considering the info in this thread.... but worth a mention

I wouldn't fuck with my brakes, personally. Get something else that fits, or change something else to suit.
Take it to a brake specialist and see what they say. I can't imagine many professionals saying its safe to grind away strength of a caliper
-
Wow what can you really say about that, seems like something only a crusher could love
You'd have to find a crusher that wasn't picky
-
Lower it properly
Agreed

I got told these are a good entry level gun: http://www.gatx.com.tw/Product_detail.a ... ID=1000354
Grabbed one from Resene Automotive paints (or something in chch) Haven't used it yet mind you But the guy that sold me it seems to know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING to do with spraying. Was really helpful and hooked me up with everything I needed to learn to paint with. So I have no reason to not believe its a good gun. Its not a $500/$1000 gun which will of course be better, and is the next step price wise for good guns. But for ~$160 its apparently and easy gun to setup that gives good results. Unlike the trademe specials that are shit. Just what I got told
-
Go here for details. Just don't expect them to show up soon/ever.
-
Ah cool, good to know

I didn't think you could use copper pipe?

Depends how long ya hanging on to it, another 2nd hand one might only last 5 mins. Thought you were selling that anyways .
On a side note i wonder if they would do a group deal on pressing, I have a couple to do
