  1. hope nobody has bought this up in here yet.

Grans Remedy. Comes in little white pots and available at chemists. Fuckin magic stuff.

Sprinkle some through your work boots/ other stinky shoes and it takes care of the smell pretty quickly- regular use stops it from returning.

  2. agree with the cat. 40 tickets, $300 prize monies, $100 to OS, number called via lotto powerball or something. Great idea.

I dont think 40 tickets is unachievable.. the more daring of us may want to buy more than one ticket for example.

fuck vouchers etc, just nag the guy till he posts pics of car shit.

  3. I have been absolutely flat out with work the past few weeks so have had next to no time spare for car stuff.. but a little bit of bling arrived today. Its off trademe and... SURPRISE i actually bought it from TradeZone. $69!! and by all accounts is a quality bit of kit. It certainly appears to be of much more rigid design than others I have seen with a relatively straight and relatively thick center rail.

I've also just spent some time and money in my garage getting things organised and making room for the car. I'm going away next fri for work- will be back in two weeks- hopefully with enough spare cash to buy a mig :-D

  4. according to wikipedia it only has 278hp?

The 4.5 L VH45DE featured variable valve timing, also known as VTC, from 1990 until 1995. This was due to the "Gentleman's Agreement", requiring all imports to produce no more than 280 hp. Nissan got around this by publishing the hp rating without VTC, meaning it's actual power rating is closer to 310 hp and 330 lb·ft. of torque.

  5. for that kinda money i would deff go VH45de vh- later model one with steel backed guides etc... then get a flywheel/adaptor plate kit to bolt it to nissan silvia manual box (they are available from the usa).

But thats just me. The v6's u are talking about are also very cool. I've been in 350z's and was surprised by their poke.

    -Nathan,

  6. disagree sorry.

no idea on 86 rear seat weight but all the plastic trim and carpet weighs next to nothing, certainly not 30kg!!!

dash pad weighs 3kg because its got a steel backing, yes?

removal of sound proofing obviously saves weight but he doesn't seem to be talking about this.

Pull interior out, remove sound proofing, replace interior... boom.

Feel free to weigh your plastic bits plus carpet then prove me wrong.

  7. Hi all.

Mates trying to get his ae85 running.

his motor has a funny carb with a sliding barrel rather than a butterfly. hard to explain.

does anyone have info on these carbs? specifically, how to get rid of all the emissions shit, bla bla. any kinda diagram showing hoses and wires would be great.

  8. nah he is returning it to standard hence i got his wing. I think he even wants to go back to a bluetop. Most of all wants to undo all the ugly rough shit that got done.

pm me if you want his number or anything.
