cool handlebars. Where did you find those? Also, those brake levers look really far away from the grips?

We are doing some design work for a company that makes bike helmets - a typical pointy multi faceted thing roadie thing.
I told the dude who runs the company that real people just wanted a plain not too bulky helmet without all the road racer bullshit, he told me they have a design and tooling for one like that but didn't think that was where the market was, anyway he said he would bring a sample in for me. If it is sweet I will try to convince him to make them again. The issue is that it would need to go through compliance to be legal to sell...
Will let you know.
Thats real interesting.
That white BMXish one is kinda cool.. we have a black one.... the damn thing just reminds me of a horse riding helmet though hahahahahhaa

I ended up getting a specialized Propero
It looks less gay in real life.. but still real gimicy
Should have got black!
-
Fuck, i got bored at work, went to cycle time and ended up spending way too much on this really gay looking thing. It was the least gay looking that i could afford but still feel like an utter dork.
I'm going to give it a very light dusting of flat clear this weekend (trying not to melt the foam or plastic because $$$$$$) to try get the shine off it.
ps, sent the mrs to the 2$ shop at 5xroads in hams as i was stuck at work and wanted to ride when i got home in the dark. She picked me up an LED rear flasher (pretty cool actually) and a front LED headlight for the grand total of $6. Fuck thats a bargain really.

what do you guys wear on your heads when out riding your bicycles.
I can't bring myself to wear a modern helmet as they just don't suit me with all the vents and sharp spikey edges.... They are just too flash and im not really a flashy kinda guy.
aside from the black semi nazi looking helmets that the scooter kids wear im not sure what other options there are available.
Any ideas?

I used some blue 3m tape the other day and I'm sure that was labled as being low tack and zero residue or something.
It sure as hell didn't stick that well... good enough as masking tape but certainly not good enough for anything else.

man i would LOVE an identical stem and handlebars as on that one!!!!! At the mo im using a flipped pair of BMX bars... its requires that i lean a little too far forwards (most people don't realise they are bmx bars though!)
-
man those handlebars are exactly what i'd like for one of my single speed projects....
You should flip them upside down to give it some race stance.
Also, whats it do for brakes? coaster brake?

yeap and he makes some sweet youtube vids. I don't think he has posted a youtube vid for a while now? They are quite good value. Looks like he has made some progress since the last one.
very unique project!

that rust is under the glass isn't it? so why do you need to respray?
Just repair the rust and seal it then put the glass back over top?
-
oh wow, that is very sweet. I would LOVE to own something as awesome as that
-
agree, wow.

Wow, surprised at the damage to that lada after the slow roll over. do other cars suffer similar damage when rolling?

check out this link and the links linked to from this article
seems like a pretty cheap fix.
-
alright.
Everyone in favor of these motors getting propellers and being fixed to a bike say EYE
-
dude ive said that like 3 times. We need to start a propeller petition
-
Id go straight onto ebay and grab an aluminum honda or similar radiator thats similar in size but thicker. There is a huge selection of these and they are cheap!!!. I got a mk4 supra one off ebay for my truck and it was very nicely made... And hooooge.
Anything custom made or even made in nz is silly dollars.
Wuldnt piss around with spraying water on it. Sounds like a pain in the ass... If you do g this route however look on autospeed.com.au and search for diy ic sprayer, or similar. Lots of info there on sprayers, pumps and cheap pump controllers.

god only knows.

The DBA (if i remember correctly) website is awesome for comparing and figuring out disk sizes and spacing from hub etc. You can search their disks by diameter, stud pattern, thickness ETC and then see which cars are the same or similar.. Or you can search by vehicle and see the sizes and offsets.
This may help someone.
There is a funny smell in my house.. fuck knows what it is. some kinda perfume... getting stronger.. cept nobodys home but me.. weird.

There is a strange home made pickup I wanted to show, it has its engine mounted back to front with the bell housing pointing forward and the front pulley is hitched to a drive shaft witch goes to the input shaft of the gearbox, it has a home made body
Could make a motivational poster out of a pic of that.
you're doing it wrong -
is it a 150 or 250?
Sweet bike!
Cut a hole in the front plastic and poke a giant v8 air filter in there!

Awesome. Thanks for the link.
I actually just bought an allcity crank set off them via TM and paid just $75 vs their websites $150.
Love those cecil pedals. and their inverted brake levers..
