    Rover SD1.

    Yep. This is a rolls royce V12 Meteor Tank Engine. Putting out something like 650hp, stock at 2550 rpm. Sitting in an SD1.

    Normally people put ghey plastic addons on them. But ruff them up a bit and i think they are the secks. Well, for a whale anyway.

    Cant find any pics of what i mean, but debumpered and smoothed with flares, deep dishes and a mild stretch these things look mean. Well. For a whale anyway.

    I have their Dvd of them building the Bike engined Mini. Actually, I think GAZ has it.

    How likely would it be to get somethig like that certed here?

    I've been thinking bout a busa/r1 powered mini for a few years now

    i cant imagine it being any differant then most engine converstions.

    i think everyone has thought of a busa powered mini, i know i have.

    that kit show on zcars is quite extensive, including cutting out of rear floor pan for space frame setup to bolt into the back of mini for basicly a RR drive setup. dont know how youd get on certing a car lacking in rear floor pan. guess thered be alot of tidying up/new firewalls made and theyd be happy.

    Yeah those were my thoughts too. Also as its chain drive and not prop drive. Gas tank is in the front, so i'm not sure what the certers would say about that. frontal impact regs and all.

    Also daily hacks with as little money spend on them means more dollars for projects.

    Thats why my daily is a $500 laser. i'ts close to have been rebuilt now and still owes me under a grand hahahahahaa.

    just gotta do the engine and soem paint. but only when it shits itself.

    fkn thing witll see me another 20 years. Meanwhile, i'll be able to focus on the XJ6/Escort/Mini projects that are in the planning stage. Oh And the herald convertable my mate wants to do haha.

    Another one for yas.

    My stock alloys have some stupid shiny laminate on them. Its crazed in most places and peeling in other. alloys have been painted now for obvious reasons.

    how do i remove paint and laminate.

    I was thinking wire brushed grinder. Dont want to spend moonbeams (or anything at all really) cos this is just my shitty daily (laser)

    Just found this pic i had saved of a mk2, was on tardme few years ago. Doesnt quite match though, hard to know whats been computer done.

    Yeah man i reckon thats the same one. Its got the tach and everything. The grille/bumper blackouts will have been done to debrand it, and poss the the bonnet stripes added so ppl less likely to recognise it in th road/make it look more boy racerish.

    I nearly bought one of them back in the day lol. was red and had a 2.0l pinto. was tight as a nuns c*nt too.

    Wish i had bought it now...
