shit that thing IS haggard.
I'd live a combo of VG/10speeds dream. Though first thing i would do would be to buy an HQ wagon, and fit a no expense spared blown big block.
Would daily a blown FPV.
Lay down a skid pad in the back yard.
Bask in the glory of V8's and FI.

if its anything like my bmw of v8ness, then you will get 300 odd k around town, and 6/700odd on the open road. It was a wonderous thing, that car was cheaper than my subaru on the open road, and close to TWICE as expensive around town/in traffic.

Had a few in the last 20 years.
Put an escort into the hutt river.
A Laser into the drink round point howard
Mirage in to a pizza delivery car
Mini halfway through a fence
323 in to the bank halfway up Paekakariki hill
This is the only one i have pics of tho. 60 + 60 headlight to headlight head on. dont remember squat about the crash as i hit my head pretty hard. Took a few hours to cut me out = overnight stay in hospital. Only a few broken bones and some minor damage to knees.
By far the worst smack up i have had, and is the reason i get mad with people who un necessarily cut corners on public roads

Don't, it costs $150 but you do get the satisfaction of having a ricket with "Driving with unauthorised registration plates - "Blue" scrawled on it. My proudest moment

Nah, fuck.
The insurance company is just trying it on. They know your an individual in a 20 odd year old car. They are making assumptions about your ability to step fight the fight.
1. The dude was not indicating. Assumptions or not, the dude turned into the path of a following vehicle without giving prior warning. Strike one.
2. Clearly, he turned IN to you. Had he started turning before you were along side him, You would have damage on the FRONT section of your car. You dont. This means he did not check his blindspot. Strike two.
I have had a very similar accident and i did have to battle the insurance company. But n the end, they paid out and teh car was fixed at their cost.
Everything he did, was wrong and was a direct contributor to the accident.
Do diagrams (in visio if you can, remember - these people assume you are stupid) write a well written and detailed account of the event, and be assertive!

Seems quite similar to the stupid ford vs holden crap.
If it goes meeaen/is fairly reliable who cares who the engine?
Yuh, guess its like saying i'm putting an XR6 Turbo motor in a VB dunnydore.
Which i'm not, cos there's much better cars to do it to.
