Picking up a new fangled 400cc Suzuki RF thing tonight. First time back on two wheels in many a moon. Much Excite.

Rego Looks familiar on that. Does it have a Wellington History? Used to work with a guy that bought one as an ex-demo IIRC. Might be his.

Its a fucking travesty.
It should be canned immediately and Chris Harris / Rory guy given their own show to do with what they please.
Rest of them can GTFO.

I'm sure one of the Jap spec turbo models came with a digital dash. But sadly the Magna had just the one engine option though with EFI and manual they weren't too slow.
Because the Magna has been widened it shares the same platform dimensions as the AWD 90-94 shape Diamante and GTO of which both were just widened versions of the 6th gen Galant VR-4 anyway. I would say the Diamante/GTO subframes would bolt in and possible to repower with GTO's 3L turbo 6 and getrag 6 speed combination. The major hassle would be converting the rear to AWD.
Sirius Dash 3x2 Eternia had a digital Dash IIRC correctly. The SE Sigma had the digital dash, but not the turbo engine. Perhaps the Jap spec Galant VR had both? Not sure.

Radiator shop would just solder it, or remove the tube and solder the ends. Really depends on the size of the hole. rustisize is onto it, though it might help to hit it with some flux before soldering.

Might not quite be spendy enough, but i'd drop for a fully optioned Clubsport R8 LSA sportwagon...

That seat is CHOICE.

AA Plus here too. Have had numerous 50km+ tows and a rental car. They also do all sorts of discount deals too. Going to Oz next year and hiring an SV6 From thrifty for $84 a day, all inclusive incl two car seats (yes, that includes the insurance waiver too). The savings on that alone are more than both mine and my wifes memberships combined.

^ this is also relevant to my interests. I have a b28 in my e36 and it feels like it has two different power curves, 1 below 2500 and then a funzone after, but quite a marked step, thinking it might be Vanos related.
Quite possible. The factory seals are made for warranty periods and thats about it. mine was dead below about 3k, but post seals pulled like a train throughout the rev range.

I feel for you. I have cam locking blocks and associated paraphernalia if you need such things. Doing the Vanos seals on my b28 woke it right up.

Undersides of a lot of the cars ive looked at on there have a fair amount of rust on things like exhaust flanges/hangers etc. I'd be wary tbh.

I'd be all over that Alfa if i had the spare cash. Those V6's make such a sweet, sweet noise.
I would only advise buying a BMW with a rock solid service history if your after reliability. Usually such BMW's are not overly cheap.

E34 V8. they are LUSH. Old cheap BMW's are almost never reliable though.

pohutukawa burns good overnight. so does swamp rata, but thats not that easy to get hold of! bluegum is good too as is a big log of well seasoned mac. Leave that shit out in the rain over winter and the following summer, then stash it before the autumn rains and it will burn nice and slow but plenty hot.

Same Mini again, 15 years ago was hooning around like a dick. Then someone starts following me, at first I thought they were going to get all 'stop being a dick' at me. But then I saw it was another mini, pulled over into McDonald's in Silverstream. This chick gets out and asks me about my Mini and gives me details to the local Mini club.
I Worked at the mobil next door many moons ago, and used to park my sky blue mini thou up against the fence between Mc'ds and Mobil. The sheer volume of people that would come in and ask about it/ask if it was for sale/share their memories of Mini's was incredible. I can only imagine it would be worse now.

M-Parallels. Style 5's are a distant third I reckon.
Personal tastes and all that!
Got a set of concave schnitzer type 3's on my e39, I think they'd look pretty good on an e34 too...
What ones? .there's a few BMW factory wheels I like .
Theses are 8.5 " and I could get a 9.5" easy under the rear. And maybe 9 in the front.....so much room.
I just didn't want 18s or 19s .
-
Excellent wheel choice. IMO, there's only one other wheel that looks as good on an E34.
-
I recon just throw a 32/36 on it, maybe a cam if your keen, get it tuned and you'll be laughing for long enough to figure out what you really want to do with it.
Engine swap would be sweet, but with no mechanical skills you'll be up for a fair whack of cash from the average shop.
Many moons ago i had a 1600 with the above, and it would hold its own against, and even show up the few pinto escorts running around the Hutt at the time.

Sweet. My coolant drinking 2grand shitta BMW thing is L4. BONUS.
However. They seem to be differentiating by year, not Model. For example; E34 production ran until 06/96, which would make the last E34's in the same rego band as the E39/E60 etc.
The FIRST BH/BE Legacies were manufactured in '98 - this puts them in the L2 band, while their '99 manufactured cuzzies get L4 (this could still be a revision A or B vehicle, crossover was in June 99 if i'm not mistaken)
-
BMW engines are plentiful, plenty of wreck worthy e36/e39's out there. biggest hurdle would be a manual box, they can be found for most of the straight sixes, but can cost nearly as much as the motor. e39 2.8 manual was in turners damaged auctions a while ago, would have been perfect!

M52b28 with S52 Cams would go ok in a trump

Contemplating trying that crowd for my bent Schnitzer rim. Otherwise can fully recommend Warren at rimrite. Worth the drive to palmy.

Its awesome. Really well put together and goes like a champ. Will be babying while i relearn the ropes.
Not looking forward to checking the valve clearances though, these things are apparently made by wizards.
