Here is the car when I first got it.
It's a 1973 Mitsubishi Galant 16L with a 1600cc 4g32 and 4 speed.
Since then I have removed the tow bar, repainted the front grill, taken off the sheepskin seat covers and cleaned up the front seats with a toothbrush.
I have spent the majority of a couple of days polishing the paint and chrome to get it looking pretty damn good.
The top surfaces need an aggressive cutter to get the years of watermarks out of the one stage paint. I have tried a few less abrasive products but don't have enough experience with one stage paint to get it right so am about to organise a professional to have a look at it.
I have bought some Advanti Takashi's as a temporary wheel until I find something rare with a good fitment.
The Takashi's are 15x7 with a 15p offset and I couldn't have got anything any wider on the front or with a lower offset.
Now that the wheels are fitted, the car looks like a monstertruck so I am looking to lower it asap.
The front suspension is the big issue, the only springs that Autolign Suspension can provide only give me 1.5" drop.
I need to find another reasonably cheap way of getting the drop I am after.
Are there struts from another car that will allow me to get decent drop?
Here's a mock up of when I was first considering wheel combinations.
