Bought paint yesterday. It’s bright.
YELLOW. Throwback to my old days where my first 2 bike were yellow. I think it will look okay- 2

I’m out. In Melbourne for training whole week

To my knowledge there’s only 2 or 3 pics. Photos weren’t really taken around Hells Angels. One that stands out is metallic magenta, hard tail, coffin tank, 1936 Douglas front end, 650 Triumph with reverse head, ie carbs at the front. He can describe in great detail every bike he’s built.

Similar style to how Dad built his bikes. Girder or springer front. Hard tail rear. Always an external oil tank and either a tiny tank or something wack. Dependant on when it was built it could possibly be one of his

Have applied a fair amount of etch primer to the tins. Guide coat on tank/front guard. The tedious task of 400 wet n dry starts tomorrow. We decided on a colour and bought it. I am going to paint it with rattle cans and it is not going to be orange. It’s going to be a light blue with the original badging on the tank.
Should be different- 2

And the chapter of boat ownership has come to an end. Collected yesterday and actually made a small profit from it. If all goes well and to plan I’ll continue this thread with something completely different

Just a plain solid colour. Not metallic or anything crazy. Just needs to be brighter than the black/green. I’m thinking orange but jury is still deliberating

Was attacked by a scorned woman with a tomahawk….. Captain Harley bought it from a divorce settlement…..

Found a shit ton more on the side and top of the left side (sitting on the bike). Sharp and deep with the obligatory birdshit MIG welding.
I have called time on this tank. It’s too far gone for my abilities. I have ordered the other tank from down south.

Well bit the bullet and pulled the guards and tank. And then I dropped the tank….
Judging by what I found the tomahawk legend is true
This tank isn’t totalled but there’s A LOT of work that is needed to repair it. Captain Harley strikes again. Fuel seepage into the bog that’s 15-20mm thick in places. And it’s pretty fresh by the smell of it.
Im waiting on pics of a tank with minor side damage that SHOULD take less time to repair.
Removed some other redundant wiring that was for the blue leds.

Lol. It was a decision made between me, wife and daughter. I was absolutely done and lucid at the time
