Ask thoughs guys www.nzhondas.co.nz they will know for sure.

Probably the only one who is going to say this but........ Ultra Glossy paint would look the business. Any color, just glossy 2k!

My Strada was meant to be LHD when first made. So my booster is on the left side of the engine bay. The Italians just made this rod/pole to connect it to the peddles on the right. That's partly why I think the peddle doesn't feel as positive as it could be.

I had it parked in Newmarket, its the other side of Farmers building. That part of the building is being converted into a teak furniture store.

Abarth - Man that is an awesome looking car. White is hard to find but so so good. Have started using forum at http://www.alfa156.net. Same login
Sweet, I didn't know it existed I will have to check it out. My Gf's a member of NZ Alfa owners club though.
Some of you would have seen it at the latest track day. I need to give it a clean and get some good pics up, those phone pics are ftl.
I was so keen to get the V6 one as it sounds fairly rapid, I would love to test drive one. When we first got the car late last year a guy was wrecking a V6 6speed one. I was keen to buy and swap in, however I had to go overseas for 3 months
Slamming its a mission, when we go ours it was so low it couldn't even drive over speed bumps without making a mess of the fiberglass. I did the opposite and added 25mm in the springs. So yeah, in the front to take the springs out there is so much shit in the way, have fun. Worth it though handles great!
edit: front view, bit different from the standard 156
-
probly a silly question, where are rear door handles?
Yeah the door handles are like the RX7's, so many people get confused when they go to jump in the back.
I think Alfa's have heaps of character for a new school, black leather seats with the red stitching etc.
I will have to get some better pic's of our 156, its got this 147GTA front and rear bumper with 156GTA sideskirts. I haven't seen another kit like this one and it used to be dark blue lol.

Looks good mate!
I have one(gf's car) goes hard, its the 2lt twin spark.
We have had no major problems with it, only replaced a CV boot that got torn. Parts a filthy expensive read $86 for a CV boot, so if you have parts hook ups then that's worth gold.
Ours has Bilstein suspension which makes it handle like its on rails. The good thing with newschool cars is that you can still get off the shelf performance parts.
The GTA wheels on the standard 156 rub a tiny bit.

If it feels like it has a top speed limiter check the CDI (little black box). It should only have 5 wires going in to it. if it has 6 then usually the 6th wire is the top speed limiter. Most of the time its the pink wire, pull that out and if it still starts then sweet.

This guy is offering the Trunk kit -5 sheets for a discount if you buy 4 packs. $164 each pack
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 740627.htm
In the Q&A's section.
I would be keen in getting a pack if anyone else is?
-
After a look through the ICE mag forum some guys brought an 8 piece Dynamat extreme pack for $224! on Ebay Australia.
Thats almost half the cost of buying it here.
-
Strange how the Bulk pack is more expensive than buying two trunk packs.
Maybe they will offer some group buy dealio if enough people are keen?
-
It looks like Dynamat makes two types,
One light weight and a heaver one
-
Buy 4 wobble nuts and a centre finder for each wheel, then you can run 4x100 wheels on a 4x101.6 hub.
-
Pretty sure you can get it off with out taking the intake manifold off. There is only 3 13mm bolts holding it on.
I can get mine out through the top, but my engine doesn't have all that Turbo plumbing in the way.
-
In hindsight I actually got my starter motor fixed when it stopped working. Maybe you can just get the old one fixed.
-
Both are forums, but someone on there should know.
-
No doubt its shit quality, but for the amount of times I am going to use it it should be sweet.
They get the nut off the end of a scooter engines crankshaft without turning the whole shaft. Such a shit job to do if you don't have an impact wrench.

Stuff steel wool down the muffler, and hope that they think its quite enough at idle to avoid testing it.
-
The $150 fine almost covers the cost of the exhaust valve.
-
Its a scooter tire. Mostly likely to fit bigger Vespa's like the GTS250's and GTV's.
-
Thats pretty shit,
My car has a 2.5inch exhaust with two straight through mufflers. The guy a the WOF station said he would let me through because it sounded as loud as a rotary, so I guess I am screwed now too.
There is some of those exhaust controllers in trademe that sit between the flanges in the exhaust, Apexi make them.

I can give you Jess's number if you want to talk to him about whats best. His wagon has a simularish turbo setup to yours.
