Lower or raise the needle in the carb. If it's already running sweet at the top end with a big main jet then lower the clip on the needle one notch this will raise the needle and richen up the initial mixture, that should remove the stutter.

This is epic, nice work man, keep it up!

Fiat Punto GT 1400cc Turbo.
Really punchy little T2 turbo, super reliable, turns on a dime and possibly the most lol factory boost control, floor it in second then floor it in third and it'll overboost to at least 19psi.

I remember a thread on here with an FD which had the air temp and water temp sensors plugged in the wrong way after being rebuilt as they both had the same plugs. ECU was adding extra fuel as it was constantly seeing air temp readings instead of water temps.
Apparently these have two water temp sensors too, one for the gauge and one for the gauge.
Wicked car too btw!!

MInt, looking forward to it. I spoke to the officials about volunteering work and they mentioned I could drive a golf buggy round for two days. Just needs to be confirmed in an email with the exact dets but sounds rad.

...... and exactly one year later I've got tickets to this!! Who else is going?
Planning on catching the train down early Saturday morning, any advice for the day would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys,
Yeah a 4WD one would be the best! I think a guy Mal owns two of them down south somewhere.
Yeah I've seen Mal's dark blue 4wd Panda in action at a paddock bashing event in the Waikato. It's a rad little car, LHD too!

I've got the first one, had it for at least 3 years now, used mostly for polishing cars. Has plenty grunt, from memory the max speed I got to was only ever half as it begins to dry out polishing compound while buffing.

Go see Dwight at Leading Edge, he did all the work on my 8v Fiat twincam head. Porting, new guides, 3 angle seat grinds and so forth. Really recommend him and I have been told he gets a lot of overflow work from Lynn when they are busy.

Check the firing order mate.
My Fiat shot flames like that out the side drafts after I mistakenly put the spark plug leads back on wrong.

Inline five cylinder not a vee.
Whoops yeah that ^^
And changing the passenger headlight bulb is a mission. You literally have to take the inner wheel arch out.
-
Selespeed does take getting used too as it's a little jerky. Especially reversing into tight spots.
Adds character to the car I reckon.
Make sure it has a good service history. My uncles one has always been well looked after and it's done 120k now without issues. I have heard of issues with them though.
That v5 engine sounds choice standard, even better with a modified air box.

Bostick make adhesive tar based sheets. Much like the factory sound deadening in most cars.
Easy as to use, heat it up with a hair drier before sticking it round bends otherwise it cracks.
I got a whole box of it for $72 a few years ago.

Golly, that does sound good at full noise through the tunnel.
Those sidies drink gas like crazy huh! I noticed on the motor way cruising with RPMs above 3 and half they chug back the petrol just as much as doorting everywhere. Anything under that and they are alright.
Good fun though! Keep up the good work.

Goodwood festival of speed - this weekend 26th - 29th June
Any of the UK lads going to this?

What happened to the 7 just out of curiosity?

+1 for Seafoam, worked choice on the mrs GDI lancer. I poured the left over Seafoam into the oil sump and fuel tank too.

Man those brakes and suspension parts look so clean! Nice job.
Can I suggest painting the rotor hat so it doesn't go all rusty looking.
-
I changed the cam belt on one of these and it was relatively straight forward for a modern engine. Generally it was nice to work on if your going to do the maintenance stuff on it.
-
For some reason I cant copy paste stuff but anyways I have wiring diagrams on the first page of my V50 thread in the builds section.
-
Croma turbo! Now we're talking. Are you going to rebuild the motor before throwing it in?
Just FYI - Italian autos had a complete 16v turbo motor from a coupe for $900. Not sure if they still have it but I thought that was a decent price.

man that steering column would own the driver if they ever had a head on crash.
