Who's good for fitting stretched tyres these days?
Will most guys not fit them now with the new stretch rulez?
Any Wellington tyre fitting recommendations? (175 on 7" wheel)

Pajero's clutch let go at the very beginning of the trip, FG69!
Was fairly smooth sailing after that failure, hip deep river crossings in some places, of course I only took pics of the shallow crossings and sexy human pics.
. . . Oh and bikes

Can see 9-35 so it must be a 3.889, looks pretty fordy to me:
Certainly does look small ford like, will try work out what my current diff ratio is, Jason Craig mentioned 3.9 would be an upgrade so could be onto a winner, cheers man will get back to you.

I have 7inch wide steelies on my van with some form of Hankook V2 185/60s. They're obviously a bit more meaty then 175's but ride well. 2/4 do leak which is a cunt. I agree that 175's look a hell of a lot better though and if i would do it again, id go 175's. Welcome to bolt one up and check clearances etc.
That's quite cool to see thanks @bmxnz11, looks good, I don't mind a little bit of chub side wall, I found with the last pair of 175 50 13s I ran it gave quite a large guard gap even with the car slammed, which I'm not sure is a good idea with this wag. Does ypur tyre rub at all? What part of Wellington are you in?

175 50 13 every day mate
Agree it's difficult to look past the 175 50 13, and you can get a sets of Nankang As1 for 400 bucks
This website is kinda handy

I was walking to work this morning and saw a cool bike, thought....thats a cool bike. Went on oldschool, looked at cool Mk1 wagon, then saw your bike and it was the same one, exciting times.
Also, do you need a diff head? Think I have one, which came with my house.
Oh funny what are the chances!
I'm giving it a little run down before mancamp in two weeks time. Normally park this heap of junk VvVvV the block over on Featherston Street
Keen on spare diff! Might even be a better ratio / leak less than current one. The Cortina has oil leaks coming from areas i didn't even think oil could come from, rust protection at-least.

I feel your pain. Sucks, by the time you gey a full 6 studded wheel set is not all that cheap to buy another set. Seems even when you pay top dollar for things these days it's still likely to be shit. I don't think it's China either I think it's the importers finding barging deals they can put the biggest margin on.
