  1. I was using Klotz Benol, but it gummed up one of my injectors, so without regular fuel system servicing I wouldn't recommend using it.

The Green Brothers did a comparison of several pre mix oils, even after 6 months the Motul 2T did not separate.

2T is what I'm now using.

    Geez format changed on here.

Can't find a specific REunion 2017 thread but Google informs is a 2 day event now (Sat &Sun?)..more petrol..more accommodation costs...more rotors I hope to balance the scales in favour...what was it 270+ wankels last Feb?

Does Mad Mike care to make an appearance or the 6 spinner Rx4 or is it still early days in this event?

I don't do that 'Face' thing so likely I'm not in the loop so much to know all the details.

They were trying to find the owner of the 6 rotor and get them to bring it to the event..

    Unsure if they've been successful

Mike is confirmed attendance at REunion and Mazda is onboard as a sponsor. Looks like it will be good times. Oh and I'm taking my car.

    Same.

    See ya there.

  3. How many of you rotary foamers are heading to the event at Taupo in February? Anyone heading up from the South Island?

Yup, should have my car there this year.

    Nats in Jan.annual Meremere pine

    Pushing hard to make this.

Car goes to the workshop this week to have new manifold & exhaust fabbed up. Motor's being assembled this side of xmas if all goes according to plan.

Gearbox reassembly starts on the 2nd...

Hopefully can get it tuned and tech'd by the nats.

  4. I was wondering about the VVT sound, silver tops are always tickey as shit (a lot more than black tops, but unsure why) but your motor seems especially tickey. Be interesting to see if a new pulley fixes it. Would also be interesting to know if toyota did something different to the blacktops to stop the noise?

    My BT was noisey as.

Drove it for 120,000kms and never skipped a beat.

Daily limiter bouncing keeps them tip top.

Sweet car, first time seeing it in the flesh and it's pretty damn awesome.

  5. Precision do the e-shafts and housing modifications.

As far as I'm aware, they supply all of the 26b E-shafts in Australasia.

Think Scoot in JPN and Racing Beat in the US are the only other shops that do 26B E Shafts, but I haven't researched that.

  6. so 'cheaper than you think' is very relative then  :-)

PPRE are still charging $37.5k for a short block.

    So cheaper than I thought.

    LEWL.

On my second look, bugger that:

    * Clutch/flywheel, Intake, Exhaust, Alternator, Waterpump and Pulleys NOT Included. But can be supplied at extra cost.
    * NZ customers please note that prices exclude GST
