For some reason I have a tiny niggle in my noggin that @SHGWAGknows someone..

I have a friend who owns a local rotary business, he has a contact at Mazda that I go through.

This exact car is what I want to mod my FD to look like one day...

However, the RE Amemiya kit and Desmond AW7s are growing on me..

Also, pending the E-Shaft measuring up within spec, I should have a 20B to add to the parts pile for the FD this weekend.

  2. Then we upped it to 426wkw on Advanced's dyno with 2 more PSI of boost and a bit more timing through the midrange. (Which is around 450wkw on the Mainline)

Left it at that, went to Meremere.

Snapped an axle on the 1st launch of the day, replaced the axle, went out for a 2nd attempt, sheared the opposing stub axle in half, and chipped the teeth on the crown wheel in the diff.

She's all fixed and back together now, but there are no full prep meremere days until the end of the year, and I need to buy a house.

So I'm in the process of selling the car, sadly.

    Give me the flushlight kit!

I'm thinking of selling the kit as a whole, maybe with the Panasport wheels too.

Or swapping for a full S6 Kit, that way all I'll need is the S8 Bumper, lip & Spoiler.

    How much for 20b?

More than I have at this point in time.

    How much for 13b?

Waiting until 20B is acquired to see if I need to steal any parts off of the Factory REW motor.

Waiting to Sell FC before selling the spare Semi PP REW  block.

Bastard! How cool is that. Any other RE Amemiya bits in it?

Not that I've found so far.

Would it kill you to know I'm stripping all the RE Amemiya bits off it and turning it back to a stock S8 kit?

I have 2 13bs in good condition in pieces, so a 26B had crossed my mind.

But realistically I want a long crank 20B with a BW400 series turbo. I've found one in good condition but just don't have the money for it right now..

Also, My FC will be up for sale later on this year, 500+wkw, Tremec TKO600 etc, & if next the next comp meeting goes well, time slips for 9second 1/4 mile passes. Reg on hold.

If anyone's seriously interested, get in touch.

  6. Got bored and bought this last month.

Water seals were tired, so pulled the block, it's mint inside but the turbos need a rebuild.

So I'm going to sell the block, and all accessories including ECU & Loom etc and run with something else.

  7. Guy's short a few brain cells with the way he was driving in those conditions.

    It's a cruise session, not a race.

Glad no one was injured, and no one in any other vehicle got involved.

Otherwise, apart from the rain, it looked like a mint weekend.

I was down on Sat after the Nitro Shootout got rained off.

Awaiting actual SHGWAG spec trap speed though.

Solid effort though, knocking on 9s

    10.474 @ 138.03MPH

Moving up to Super Sedan, license is on it's way - Good down to 9.90seconds.

Talking to my Tech Inspector after work to see what I need to do the car safety wise.

Still only have a 1.67 60ft time. That should be able to drop down to a 1.4 flat if I hook up launch control and leave the line harder.

Have front runners that just need tyres, should be good for .1

That gets us to 10.1 without adding any power if I nail my shifts.

Once the budget allows I'm replacing my 800cc primarys with 2000cc primarys, and then putting more power in to the car.

So by the last round of competition this year, we should go high 9s if I don't break anything.

In the elimination round I went for a 10.. welded my clutch solid and sheared the splines off one of my stub axles on launch..

Now have a twin plate and revised the axle set up. But unfortunately have to wait for a test & tune later in the year to run again.

Same car, same set up @ Meremere

10.474 @138mph Disqualified from class at the event, haha

From some one who has done project management that fuck up is you plumbers fault they should be doing all timbers related to what they are installing.

Interesting, we usually scope this as builders work for services (by the builder).

Not in 10 years have I ever seen a plumber put in his own nogs.

May be different for residential, however?

Does anyone have a recommended contact at mazda or hookups? I'm a tight arse and hate paying retail. Off the top of my head I need a front diff mount which apparently is fairly common on these?

I really should fix the exhaust on the honda and take it for a wof buy why spend $40 on a wof when you can spend $500 on getting this home... priorities

If anyone on here buys this, I have a spare front diff mount (possibly 2) at home sitting in the shed.

Alternatively, Part Shop Max does solid mounts fairly cheap.

Series 1 shell on an FD :D

There's an FD floorpan swapped RX3 coupe in the states somewhere.

Remember reading about it on rx7club.com years ago.

Should a hit me up, I had an ac/dc multimeter.

Filling up on gas for the trek home seen me battery not so happy..had a bit of a spew melting some paint under the coils and eating into one of the HT coil leads on my FC

Damn! If only I'd known you had one / who you are.

Yet to check what the issue was, work & kid have gotten in the way of car stuff since.

  15. Damn, REunion was sweet.

I failed at launching the car with the new turbo, not enough revs, too much lag.

Fried the positive lead off the alternator during the parade, could have fixed it there and then, but was suspicious about the cause and didn't have my multimeter on me so decided to call it a day and be safe, rather than sorry.
