@SHGWAG It's a super cool car, for most I'd say it'd be the question on how hard to get road legal, as general public wants multi use cars. Having said that, you are right  it's a perfect track day weapon

Yeah I get that, which is why it's priced relatively cheap for what it is.

The only things it actually needs is the headlights bolted in and wired up, lsd diff swapped back into it, speedo drive hooked up, and maybe a quieter exhaust.

Cage isn't homologated but it wouldn't be hard to either cut it out or go through homologation with NZDRA as it's been teched previously.

    Also:

My FC is still for sale on the Tard.

But it's rather hard to sell a track car when most track days are cancelled.

    Thank you for your time,

    Good night.

Have even dropped the price on it so I can get my 20B in the car and done.

  3. If anyone want's my FC, now's your chance.

It's already the cheapest bang for buck (HP per $) rotary on trademe

Looking to build a new house so I've got to cull the fleet.

$47k take it & all my spares + new parts I haven't put on it yet.

    https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/mazda/listing/3312672007?bof=r6YOPlqC

With near stock examples asking $40k plus, this is a bargain - Less than half what it's cost to build.

Flick me a PM if anyone's interested.

Open to swaps for rolling body or project 808 wagon or S2 RX2 (or capella) etc. (would need $$ my way)

Will let it go cheaper to OSGC's ~$47k without the spares / Regas.

If it doesn't sell by the end of August it'll be mothballed until I've finished buying a new house & finished the 20B FD.

End of August is approaching, so if anyone wants this thing get in touch & make me an offer.

Surely someone out there has a project 616 sedan / 808 wagon they can't be bothered finishing ;-)

Had a couple of low ballers & a few time wasters - The pain of Facebook Marketplace is real.

  5. Any of the FC owners on here have a spare diff, either clutch type LSD or open?

I've misplaced my spare stub axles...

Snapped the drivers side one at RE during a 2nd > 3rd shift.

Pulled it apart last night and the passenger's side splines have a nice curve in the end of them too..

PM me if you can help :)

Same car - HARDON, Chap in Manawatu (who has/had all three coupes above) didn't sell then?  Cause this person in Oz was advertising it for 120K in Oz shortly after it was sold on FB for 70K (Said 80 above but looking through old posts it says 70k)

Dude in Hamilton had HARDON, and as of a few weeks ago, still owned it.

A good mate was trying to buy it after RE Union, but:

Current owner was looking to swap it as a down payment on a property in Aus - which would be why there's a for sale post on Aus Rotary.

    TL:DR

    Also:

Looking at buying another property so:

I'm selling my FC in the near future, 475wkw, caged, regamasters etc..

If anyone's interested, get in touch.

It's currently got the rear end out to replace the half shaft I broke RE & a clean up.

Will be listed once it's back together.

I'm on that side also and if you take an 8 owner for a drive in a 7 they lose their mind.

Oh I agree that a 7 is waaay better (which is why I have 2 of them)

Buut, FC's are selling for $30k+

    FDs are selling for $40k+

RX8s are sub $10k, spend $30k on an REW swap with a single turbo & aftermarket ecu and I'd almost say the 8 would be a better all round car.

Seeing this at RE was one highlight of my weekend - 13b turbo, owner plans to leave the patina as is, and just fix the major wof issue rust.

Conversion was done in Under 3 weeks - Ben spent many a late night working on it in the workshop. It got tuned on the Thursday afternoon before RE up at M&M in Auckland.

Hell of a lot of work done in very little time, dude is a legend.

Unrelated: Does anyone here have a factory engine package for an FD they want to part with? (Complete engine setup including turbos, ecu, intake manifolds, radiator, intercooler, AC system etc)

Ideally full front cut would be nice.

If so, flick me a PM, if I can find a reasonably priced setup I'll push the button on another project.

If not, I'll build a new house.

    Cheers,
