rtwhat?!
sadly i dont even have a wayto look up parts for those!!!
a lot of JDM cars from the mid 80s back are getting dropped off the epc..... like the kp6#s
-
are you sure they are imports?
could be reregd....
but yeah could be possible they were supposed to be exported then sold locally. be bloody rare though
-
what type of cars were they?
-
im so glad bumblebee WASNT a beetle
fark i hate beetles
yeah must have changed that shot in the movie!
-
farrrk knows!
merely an example
-
clarification:
R = RHD for export market
L = LHD fro export market
JDM vehicles have neither of the above.
so
TE71-##### = jdm
TE71R-##### = export
TE71L-##### = export
some things you will see after jap numbers.
W or G = wagons
V or K usually on hiaces
a sedan, hatch or liftback wont have anything, but a wagon always has a W or G
sooooo in NZ if you have a te71r chances are that it is nz new.... but it could also be an aussie or singapore import, which arenot uncommon

MAKE THE SUMP BIGGER!!
-
cant say iv honestly spent a lot of time looking at the sotck ones..... so i dont know.
i do know that some ppl have not found the gains they thought they would with extractors... suggesting that some of the stock ones may not be so bad
-
how much power u going for?
the chevette stock set up is good for about 5hp.....
anything above sotck look at the gemini
for real power go fourlink and look at the above mentioned piazza
also a good source for brakes
then burn the rest of the evil thing!!!
-
can you go forward? then curve back under
you could write volumes on header design....
i suggest some research to at least get an approximate guide to lenghts
-
operated by boost/vaccum rather than a spring/vacuum
im not saying its what you MUST use. im saying its what ill be looking at.
for a s/c by pass valve, a conventianal dump valve prob isnt the best suited.
-
off an sw20!
mr2 turbo.
i havnt investigated it totally yet, but i think itll work quite well
its basicly a 2 chamber valve. instead of a single chamber like a convential dump valve
-
why is there a poll???
its easy..... you want power... go turbo.
i doubt very much you are willing or able to spend the required amount to enable a ca18 make any decent power n/a
n/a power = $$$$
the head along will prob cost the same as the entire turbo job....
re the compression, yes its all to do with cam profile and combustion chamber shape. and tuning.
you need to ask yourself, "how much power do i want"
-
definitly go blow through
whats the engine?
maybe look at things like mg montego for a carb.
or mitsi tredia/cordia
yes you need a bypass/dump valve, ill be looking into the sw20 VSV as a valve for my plans. you want it plumped back in though, otherwise the noises made will make ppl think youv just OD'd on baked beans....
-
i bet its not as bas as it looks.....
i reckon the main structure will be ok, and i also bet some one restores it
-
go look at the TOMS website
i think they have some pics under the history section
hard to find info on them..... at least in english.
they raced in europe against the capris etc. got owned
try searching under group 5
-

-
