I heard within the last year or so that Toyota were basically gonna stop making sports cars cos nobody was buying them. Why? Perhaps cos the cars are gay little things which don't appeal to anyone and which have names like MRS..

toyota havnt made a sports model since they d/c the celica a coupla years back.

those highlanders go ok, i was rather impressed by the one i drove, not only at the power but at the handling. i would suspect that it would be rather a lot faster than the average escort!

i think the reason for using the escort is that ppl of the age to buy a highlander would have had escorts in thier "boy racer" days

the only issue i can see, is they need to clear up the exhaust noise thing. i have no problem with the punishmnet for it, but they need to make the test a bit more black and white.

each pushrod ( pushs a rocker shaft that works the 2 relavant valves per cylinder.

the push rods are not all in a line. they are splayed out

iirc that was derived from the chev NASCAR engine they nicknamed the porcupine.

say what you like about old V8s, fact is they are still cool when they shake the ground

kinda like steam trains, yeah modern electrics do it faster, cleaner and cheaper

but a steam trains much cooler
