Yep, cause you load it down to 2 ohms,. Your pioneer will only supply 125w into each sub (one on each channel). The caliber will do closer to 550-600w (both subs on the same channel, so they are wired in paralell)

sounds like plenty enuf,i can gt the one on trdeme for 185, shall i go for it?

Could always keep it and get some decent fronts, that pioneer would run a decent set of front speakers pretty good.

so i got the gear today and chucked them in, dont think im gonna need to use the caliber amp quite yet as it goes bloody good with the pioneer. got to sort out the rattling now

Just throw it all in, run it, then if you're not happy then sell the amp and upgrade!

They'll run OK, once I was running a 300wrms Sony 10" off a pissy little Sony 222 amp, it went well enough to hear some bass

I was gonna say something similar to what you said, but I was investiagting the lack 2 ohm bridging.

He might be able to do it if he can keep it cool. But for the effort you'd put in it's better and easier to get a bigger amp.

That and I didnt have the heart to tell him it wasnt the best buy. But as you say - it'll work, just no where near its potential.

meh just point me in the direction of the amp i'll need and i'll buy it.

EDIT the subs are rated at 4ohm so doesnt that mean they should be wired in to run at 4ohms
