  1. maybe she was. Are you Allan Riley? If so, she's going to see you again soon.

My val isn't highly modified, but it isn't stock either. And with the price of gas, I will be lucky if I can afford to drive it once a month.

ahh alan is a good old cunt. he runs the mid city branch, hes quite good for old cars too from memory

  2. Insurace companies are Jews. It's a sad fact. My mrs drives a very tidy gay honda. It's had a full respray/nice wheels/clear tail lights etc. There also aren't many V-tec's left in her model. (All got written off back in the day  ) The jews at AMI sent her the policy renewal, and has wiped like $2K off the value. She went and got a valuation from some car yard saying it was worth more, and AMI were stuck with that. Then (Just in the last 3weeks) she got this years renewal, and they tried to wipe a whole shitload more off it's value. But the bloke she delt with said if it happend again just to ring him. I suppose their computer just automatically devalues a car based on "book value".

When I get my valiant on the road, I'm going to get a valuation from Moorhouse Muscle. They'll give me a sweet really high one. (And If it does get crashed, it would cost shitloads to fix, 'cos tidy replacement panels for my model don't exist.)

was possibly speaking to me then sounds like something i would do.

our system does automatically decrease the Agreed Value on a car in relation to the "book value". not sure what book system we use.

Pretty simple to get a dealer valuation for normal cars cos we only need a verbal valuation to increase an Agreed Value.

AMI has a good vintage/classic cover which requires a written valuation and is quite possibly the cheapest car cover in NZ however the car has to be in close to standard condition and not daily driven and needs to be pre-about-mid 1970s

  3. if you drive an oldschool car every day you are just sending it to the scrapyard.

Unless you have heaps of time to keep it mint, or can afford to pay someone to rebuild it every 10 years...

Cars just don't last that long, they are made out of metal that rusts, driving it in the rain and they are going to rust, there is nothing you can do about it.

Better off with a shit box 90's car, cost nothing, cheap to run, no body is going to steal your badges and who cars if you come back and someone opens there door and has chiped or dinged the paint. Can't relax if i've driven an oldschool car for daily duties, constantly worried if someones stealing it, scratching it etc.. Or maybe its just because i own mazdas.. lol

true if its you as all your cars are prestine condition, most normal people dont have cars that after 35 years look as if they havent made it onto the showroom floor yet.
