^ this is true, vw guys are just odd and are slowly developing our own language

yeah two points of flex vs one...
-
you mean 3 adjustable spanners

new rear brakes vs old

yeah 'special' drums to allow wide 5 on IRS, and these will get a set of stock front master cylinders and pads inside them... so braking and handbrake should be excellent all around... I didn't think 4 wheel discs was worth the additional cost/engineering etc
and the front's are a zero offset kit... http://vwparts.aircooled.net/0-Offset-Wide-5-Disc-Brake-Kit-1949-65-Link-Pin-T1-p/401498.htm
looks like really nice stuff uses Mk2 Golf callipers
(did have to get a rhd master cylinder separately from the UK though)

8's on the back
-
something like that will happen... possibly sell the current ones and just make a new set... obviously I just need to ensure I don't end up with more dish on the front than the back
but for the mean time I'll fit the BRM's and focus on getting it the on the road and certed, besides in the last few years everyone's started doing wide steels

hmmmm my rear wheels no longer fit... IRS has a wider track... (kind of knew that was going to happen)

unsure how much sense this pic will make to most... but the brackets to hold the IRS are in, as well as the irs arms, as well as the irs gear box, as well as a chassis brace (axels are still to be added)
this pic is a bit more self evident..

watched this guys videos.
il probably try keep the mounts and cut between them and the shock towers ether side?
good or bad idea?
less welds is more?
-
are you going to get drop spindles?
-
why just 1 inch? if you're going to the effort why not 2? also have you considered IRS instead (though it will widen your rear track)?
also why not just arrow your existing beam?
-
so a rebuilds on the cards?

speaking of Falcadores.... I receive a fair amount of shit because my Commodore ute has a Chev badge on the front (it came like that and a legit Holden grill is not worth the money) I've blacked it out, but still people sometimes spot it...
I was cruising down the port exit in Ak one Sunday morning and a couple of guys in S13's were giving me a hard time... rev's and blow off noises etc... one of them must have decided it would also be fun to chirp the wheels as well because seconds later he was spinning across two lanes through the battons separating a merging lane and straight nose first in to a concrete wall....
was quite funny...

So its a Porsche engine ?
also with the subtle variation of, 'you should put a Porsche engine in it, they bolt straight up'
time and time again
-
pull the wheel off and rotate 180 degrees? will at least move the worn spot away from your hand...
-
I did have over hear a kid in a push chair (I'd guess 3 or so) say 'look mum, a cool car' as I drove past, was pretty stoked with that... and was also curious to know how he obtained his frame of reference....
