  1. yeah 'special' drums to allow wide 5 on IRS, and these will get a set of stock front master cylinders and pads inside them... so braking and handbrake should be excellent all around...  I didn't think 4 wheel discs was worth the additional cost/engineering etc

and the front's are a zero offset kit... http://vwparts.aircooled.net/0-Offset-Wide-5-Disc-Brake-Kit-1949-65-Link-Pin-T1-p/401498.htm

looks like really nice stuff uses Mk2 Golf callipers

(did have to get a rhd master cylinder separately from the UK though)

  2. something like that will happen... possibly sell the current ones and just make a new set... obviously I just need to ensure I don't end up with more dish on the front than the back :-)

but for the mean time I'll fit the BRM's and focus on getting it the on the road and certed, besides in the last few years everyone's started doing wide steels

  3. unsure how much sense this pic will make to most... but the brackets to hold the IRS are in, as well as the irs arms, as well as the irs gear box, as well as a chassis brace (axels are still to be added)

this pic is a bit more self evident..
