5speed should definately withstand the power im putting out, 6speed would be overkill. Basically i just need to stop being a cheap cunt and actually pay good money. This box cost me $250 and the last one cost $300 and the one before that, the whole car only cost $200.
So I think its time to squirrel some money away, buy a 4.444 gearbox out of an STI and get it reconditioned with new bearings and shit by geartech. Then at the same time convert it to 4.111

I have no idea, all i know is it took more than one launch to kill the other 2. Trying to decide what to do next. Sell and buy Euro accord is one option that tempts me.

Inserted new gearbox. Did a launch. Need new gearbox.
Not impressed tbhirl

No worse than my hatch. Saw Alans Detomato Charade roll at Slipway and it looks a lot more stable than this whip

Have ripped the bottom out of my flexi joint, have scrape marks down the floorpan from beaching it multiple times, side skirt clips are shagged on one side for the same reason, front lip has a big split in it and my exhaust is dimpled like a teenaged fast food workers face, rear skirt is slowly being shaved away and my tow bar leaves it mark on madmikes driveway every couple days.
All thanks to ultra shitty approach angles as im not even that low.

Technically an offering to the god of no maintenance.....but speed is close enough

Its pretty good stuff

BUT if the fan is running backwards when driving as its wired constant on - i see problems

That CP93 guy is a tard. The money he wasted on silly pulleys couldve gone into making an intake manifold that doesnt suck or relocating the turbo to the front with a scavenge pump.
I guess what im saying is that Gilmer belts would be the LAST thing i would spend money on after i had done everything else. Mostly because almost everything else would have a better improvement/cost ratio.

I need one of those laminated reference cards with pictures of wagnats people and their names. I know ive met everyone but cant remember who anyone was....except the seediest of allans, kaykay and yowzer

At least i woke up without a liquefied spine and hypothermia

I Went to wagnats in a sedan. I fail, but at least i didnt go in a AW11

Just fixed my super annoying hesitation problem. Had been trying to track it down for 6 months. As you advance on the throttle - there were 2 spots where the motor would have a momentary loss of power.
Turns out its the programming for the Auto trans. The ECU expects to receive a "Torque Cut" signal at certain points in the throttle travel to allow the torque converter clutch to unlock/lock or allow the gearbox to chop a cog.
Have unplugged the neutral switch from my gearbox so now the ECU behaves as if im in neutral all the time. I have no doubt this will cause some other issue - but i'll consider whether thats better or worse when the time comes. The only thing triggered by an "in gear" status that i could find was the idle up and off throttle injector shut down. But both of those events are also triggered by vehicle speed.....so I might just get away with this.
New gearbox going in tomorrow night along with new driveshaft, control arm bushes, gear linkage and shifter, pilot bearing, clutch master and slave cylinders. Will put up a pic of sweet mechanical carnage.

Wagnats: More awesome than a double dragon rage dutch rudder.

+1 to all of the above. Nice to meet so many good cunts in one place. Would trade again.
Apologies for piss poor doughnut effort on leaving, i give up. Never going to be as cool as Simon

The hot coolant leaves the engine via. the top radiator hose, but normally goes through a thermostat about now
Unless you own a Subaru (in which case the thermostat is on the bottom hose before the waterpump).
But seriously - no need to panic unless things are getting hot or your getting nasty airlocks. Will be mounting the hatches radiator on a gangster lean so i can fit a big one in.

Build one for yourself while your at it. Make a Mustang and a Charger. Then chase your kid round the neighbourhood with a shotgun.
I wish my dad was that cool.

Is there anything gravity cant do!?

Pullstart for extra man points

Looks like the designer was trying to draw a Z4 but fell well short of the mark and traced some MX5 bits onto it so he could go and bang the secretary for lunch. Giz FT86 instead plz.

To be fair, I always seem to kill bearings. Never stripped a gear or anything ludicrous. But one launch!!! Only one!! And it wasnt even off the rev limiter....I demand more than that from my mechanicals.
Giz your money/Accord and we have a deal
