Pretty sound advice. Only thing I'll add is to the running in procedure: It's good to find a stretch of road and accelerate full throttle from about 40-80 and then take your foot off. When the throttle closes that's when you get the vacuum he was referring to as the engine tries to suck in lots of air against the closed butterfly.
