  1. i removed alot of it to get to the rust, it didnt seem to have served its purpose very well.

Anyways didnt try dry ice but did use a heat gun and a scraper worked pretty decent.

  2. can you get to the back of it? If not then dent puller or homemade dent puller, if the peice of the panel is an easy shape to make out of sheet steel then it may be easier to cut the damage out, use magnet clamps to hold the steel in from behind and tack weld and bog, however i donty think that suits you.

Anyways get your hammer, panelbeating set if you have one if not then an ordinary hammer will suffice. Either hold something on the panel (dolly if you have one) or use your leg to brace the steel so the dent takes the force not the whole panel and use many lighter hits to try and get it as close to flat as possible, if you over hit it, goto the other side and bash it back, block sand with a low grit like 80 so you can see the low and high spots, fix them as best you can by bashing back and forth and then bog.

  3. its less porous than normal bog, tested that shit, but still no good, was useful for covering up what looked like 10 1mm drill holes that were on my door, fuck knows how they got there.

if you need to use newtech then chances are you should be welding anyways, but muzzie is fine.

  4. yuh, ruins bodyfiller aswell, means you have to fix all that again, i would only use where i cant use my DA and 40grit to strip with.

also depends on the stripper i have used some stuff that seemed only to degrease lol and stain the paint, the crc stuff seems to get a good rep.

  5. need a proper rotary buffer that spins at a few thousand, not a shit orbital one. 1200 grit the 2000 then meguires medium cut on a wool pad then meguires fine cut on foam and swirl mark remover on foam if need be. thats what i do anyways comes up mint, dont have to use meguires tho.

  6. 351 cleveland doesnt fit as well as a 302 windsor does, already investigated this for my cortina., unless your going for a 302 cleveland?

If you going 302 windsor get the clevo heads and make it a boss engine, takes a bit of work tho.

IF its a windsor then 6l is too far, 347 cubes is the practical limit.

  7. lol, if he cant be arsed buffing then hit it with like 400-600 and spray another coat of clear and leave it there, a bit orange peel but shiny. or you using SS? guts about the 20v

  8. bore AREA x stroke then x the number of cylinders

    so 9.24 x 9.24 x pi (3.14159) / 4

    bore area = 67.055

    stroke 7.695cm

    = 515.99 cc per cylinder

    =2063.965

    std pinto bore 90.8 = 1993 cc

  9. Show the ricers you dont need VTEC EH BRO to go fast in NA

littel off topic but RT brought up v8's

I was going to put a 351 in a mk5 cortina but then though fuck it , shes a hideous beast and the conversion would cost as much as buying a much nicer looking XC falcon with one already in it. Stroke to 6.7litres (408ci) quad carb, flows etc go hard as. slap a blower on there with a few psi.

  10. yeah theres a few different bolt on heads but that and the cosworth are apparaently the cheapest ones. Can get custom ones cnc'd out of solid blocks of aluminium and shit. Someone was trying to make them to sell big but costs were too high, had the ports and everything perfect.
