Hey guys been looking round but cant seem to find why 2.8 billys are better than normal escort struts. All i seem to find is 'Billys are better' just cant find why, so if someone can tell me why that would be great
Pure
Thicker strut tubes so basically stronger, unless rallying shouldnt need to change from standard
-
Did customs not charge you anything?
-
Theres two size strut tops, sounds like your car is the small type and you have ordered the large ones

Not off trademe, been sitting hidden away in a "half" shed for some years,Drivers side is fairly bad, passagers is pretty mint,Trying to source another shell to use for pannels etc,Thank god the doors are pretty perfect and dont need replacing be a tall task finding some.
Plans are to get body straight and go from there.....Zetec or somthing maybe a idea for motor
Get in touch with hrdengines on trademe, they may be able to help with your two door bits.

Maybe a stuck valve? Or really taking abit to work the oil into itself? Reading much higher pressure than the other new pump?
-
Makes you wish burtons wasnt half the world away doesnt it! Certainly sounds like the pump is at fault, pin etc holding gear to shaft all in place? Dont rip it apart otherwise they might not replace.
-
Stick with the new one, or would you rather a wrecked engine? Not worth mucking around with the old one imo

PSN: DivineXecutioner
Day/Time: Evenings
Preferred vehicle: Toyota 7 race car for P1 class until I get something beter Posibly mazda cosmo for gt2 class

Sounds like I am going to have some fun getting this car through on more than one front in the end. Even with my card! But it will be worth doing in the long run. I just want to be able to use the car on the road when ever I like so may have to rig up some for of inertia system in there. Pain in teh arse but if its needed.
Then try get the Mk1 through with no rear belts! Its going to be bad enough fitting a high level brake light...ouch!
Cheers for the input all
Dave...
Dont worry about rear seat belts for the mk1, cars older than 1979 dont need to have them, took a passenger in the back of the cortina the other day and relised it didnt have any rear belts!

You holding out on me??
Lol, no I had two, the one you got was in that lot of parts, my other ive had for years...

Rotor is pointing at number one in this pic, set it from that

Low speed circuit on carb may be blocked or mixture set very lean, or timing out
