-

-
Im keen, anytime that suites the rest
-
Looks fair enough price mate, Goodluck with sale
-
So whys it for sale on trademe if your still working on it??
-
Nice car, good luck with rebuild
-
Nice wagon!
-
Your better off going to a 1600 xflow and sidies, Considering its such a simple swap
-
You will need a different longer throttle cable, clutch cable. Fuel lines extended and swapped sides. Exhaust sides swapped over. New drive shaft. Possibly different alternator mount to move alternator lower. Probly other stuff. Its not a hard swap just a few bits to get right
-
Epic car build mate! Congrats! Jealous as my Sports just sitting in the shed awaiting rebuild
-
My main concerns were
1) will it use the same mounts as the Kent?
2) will it bolt up to the 1600 box
Mounts are same, Yes gearbox will bolt up but not worth hassle of trying get sortout clutch plate etc, Beter off with 4 speed cortina or 5 speed sierra gearbox.
You will need to modify the sump to fit.

Inspiration, Heading down this track with black stripe kit instead of blue.

Make sure radiator has been looked after, likely to crack heads if not maintained

Seems pretty mean, Nissan power tho DOH
Anyone know it?
-
Does it have a plate on the end of the crank still? I had to remove a plate from a auto pinto. Same size as the end of the crank and acts as a spacer to the flexplate
-
Id say the cortina ones is what you want, unless the radiator is mounted much higher or lower in relation to the engine than it originally was
-
-
Have you tried listening in with a screwdriver at all? You place the tip at various points and put the handle end to your ear, works well
-
Will pay in beers, PM for details
Cheer!
-
They have a circlip stopping it from coming out of the housing and a cap on the oposite side you take out and punch it out once circlip removed
-
Oh ok, I don't know if they require a different pressure or not, maybe someone will know
-
Yes... you'd want to run around 4 psi for carbs
-
This was a flop? Prob be keen to give it a go, esp if its at nandos
-
Yeap, Have done it in the past.
These guys are great http://www.burtonpower.com/
I have got lots of engine bits and pieces from them, most annoying part was the custom charges.
And shipping can get quite high on a large order.
This is another outfit in the UK, I have not dealt with but sound good http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/
Shipping from Burtons has always been nice and fast and reliable, and they accept paypal now, I purchased off them before they done that and it was a mission. They wouldnt accept credit card payment on your 1st order. Had to make a bank deposit that had heaps of extra fees tagged on.
