Also input shaft of 5 speed may need to be slightly shortened to prevent thrust washers wearing out on your 1600

Yes gearlever hole needs to be moved further back. You will need a longer clutch and speedo cable. Gearbox will bolt on to xflow without change of bellhousing. Although bellhousing may be tight fit in trans tunnel.
Xflow flywheel may be able to be drilled to pinto size clutch? Otherwise I think its xflow pressure plate with hillman hunter? clutch plate.

Practicality of the whole thing id go with tints. Merging lanes, pulling out of awkward exits etc are difficult when you cant see past your shoulder, especially if its going to be used daily
This! From experience with my van.
Van races on!

Easiest thing is to ring ford, they can tell you all about your car from the vin
Not from my experience, they don't want to know about old stuff

This now belongs to Zebra Dude, Looking forward to seeing it done!

Awesome thanks for the replies, never thought about the Classic Ford magazines (can't even remember the last time I bought a magazine for that matter).
Will give palmside a ring, and that bumper one is super handy as my rear bumper needs replacing as well
Paul does all the rubbers you were after, Bonnet rubbers, bell housing gaiter etc. They are just not listed on his site

Contact Paul through his site, http://www.classiccarbumpers.co.nz/

Anyone know what its like doing the Construction equipment side of things for these guys? Sounds like that's the role for the Whangarei branch. Any feedback would be appreciated.
