Looks tatty. Hope you are dedicated!

Better if you inline the pics, like so.

Gas Tank. Not too arty

Small, but perfectly formed meet, I'd say.

is that the one I dragged down from Nats like 2 years ago.
Time to update your sig KK!
At least the weather forecast is looking better. If it's sunny I may drag the big vert out (event with the AC unit and heater out for a new core).

"Almost all automotive coils use a 0.25-0.29 microfarad capacitor."
Random google result. They are just a capacitor. I can't imagine that there is much difference in the actual mFD rating of them. Could totally be quality differences though.
I've always understood that they basically stop arcing at the points, so the value won't matter very much, so long as they achieve the objective.

SR20 could be a good choice, already available in RWD, newer than 4AGE.

I stopped going to VTNZ due to similar crap. Get wofed at local garage now. Much more pleasant.

Is the gauge any good? Suck it and see!

Will likely be there, but not sure which car. May take the convertible for a trial with the new alternator before the Beach Hop.

I tested one today, using a spare (charged) battery. B+ wire to battery +, random 12v lamp from battery + to D+ on alt. Case ground to battery -.
Used a angle grinder (with a stripping disc on it) to spin it a bit. Light went out. Called it good (for now). Now have to figure out wiring into a 1964 Mercury with no charge light. Hmm.

I've used some Nissan fuse panels so far in my project, but I am highly tempted to chuck them in the bin and use a wiring kit. I'll need to roll my own for the Nissan EFI, but that is pretty straightforward.

You are right. I should have looked closer/had less beer.
Came from a random box of swap meet parts. There's a 3/4 inch wilwood M/C in there that has one of the mounts swan off, and the pushrod shortened right up. Who does such things?
I used the complete sets on my project -
I've got one spare too, with a cap and angled lower adapter. No mount though. PM me.

In electrical terms, a few more cm of copper wire is going to make SFA difference to the overall resistance of the wire, provided that it is properly connected to the original wiring.

Generation 1 apex RSM uses a sensor so is legal.
I had just finished removing the dash cluster and about to start to replace it with the alloy panel when my cousin (who is a wof inspector) said that unless the car retains its stock cluster its not going to get a cert or a wof as it must remain stock. Read the wof requirements but could not find anything. please can someone shed some light on this for me? I think i have just wasted money on my race-looking dash instrument cluster.
Seems like bollocks to me. Lots of hot rods use aftermarket gauges, or something from a different vehicle.

I used two willwood ones.
I think I used some hoses from a Hiace van, as Beaver notes.
Biggest pain was making the fitting to go into the master cylinder. I built two of these and had them cad plated.

think we saw that green thing at beachhop shortly after it had been returned to use after some years KK..? 2005/6 odd
Martin Voss bucket.
Here's a BH Pic. It's on display in Turangi to promote the Lead Central Kustom Show and Swap Meet there this weekend.

Hey anyone near kapiti able to check something out?
Possibly looking at an early morris minor on behalf.

Can probably help. Have Morris Minor experience. Send me a PM.

I prefer the Lincoln I used to own - saw it last at the Beach Hop a couple of years back. Tweaked 460ci, nearly 20ft long, 2 doors.

Been on holiday down in Nelson/Golden Bay area.
I reckon it must be the best hunting ground for old school survivor cars. Quite a few still look to be in daily use by retirees etc.
Next few are from the GB A&P show:
Lush!
Got green?
Now back in Nelson.
This Lada is just down the road from my parents place. The same family used to have a Renault Dauphine, and a Vauxhall Victor (IIRC) mouldering under the tree, but they disappeared a few years ago.
Lots of Minis around.

Maybe. Holden is current tired after visiting Nelson/Takaka/Totaranui with camping gear.
It always annoys me that they charge the car owners for these sort of events. After all, without the cars there wouldn't be much of a show.
I 'displayed' mine for free at the Totaranui camp.
