Not fabulous pics, they are up on a wall. I can probably do better if these aren't good enough.

Old tape decks get flakey. The rubber drive belts crap out.

Nice Jag-shaped visor there.

Old rx have a global demand now, prices are sure to rise. It's like the American cars that have horrendous prices. If it's old and interesting then it's got a price tag. Mazda fit the mold, they are interesting and now rare.
RX3's seem to be the 65 Mustang equivalent.

Good idea. Will zip up there after I leave the office.
Called them and no-go.
Talked to a Pirtek man and he reckons he has something that will work. Will find out later.

A couple more from another Michael Fowler book - The New Zealand House. Not such good spotting in this book though - too much house, not enough cars.
See the Daihatsu down the front? Same colour as the one at Raetahi.

I need a new piece of hose in my PS system, connecting the reservoir to the pump.
Stopped at BNT today and asked for something to suit (3/4" or 19mm).
They went out the back and sold me 0.5m of something black.
Went to fit it just now and realised that its Dayco heater hose which is (naturally enough) not rated for oil contact. Grrr.
Any idea where I can get something useable?
I've been to a Hydraulink place before, but they sold me some high-pressure steel reinforced hose which is a bitch the seal up to the nipples.- 1

I bought a china one for my A32 daily mid last year.
All OK so far.

Why not?
I have the leftover stuff from my garage floor operation in my garage still.
I've been told it can cause rusting of nearby steel due to vapour escaping the container.
I keep it in a garden shed, on a metal shelf though.
Don't use it inside either - nasty fumes.

Have you got a multimeter to check that there is 12V at the coil?
Also, remove the distributor cap (usually held down by a couple of clips) and check that the points are opening and closing as the engine cranks.

Would double the value of the van, likely.
