Back to the future!

They probably have a minimum box size for their automated conveyer/shipping systems. Not like the aliexpress sellers who hand wrap everything into mini bubble wrap packs.

When I want to see a dose of rust repair masochism the Samba build threads on rusty Kombis are my first call.

So, imagine you have Jag's and a rotor sitting around

Likely because the LED light source is not in the correct position for the reflector design.
Fail for:
" the light beam produces an incorrect beam pattern, is not focused, or is reduced or altered"

Oh fuck yea! Thanks terry!
Why you thinking of changing?
The in-tank pumps seem to die when left sitting around in petrol for months at a time (this is a mostly-ignored project car after all). They get clogged up and fail to pump. The pump assembly is from a Nissan and is an old in-tank type with a steel frame. Most of the cars in Pick A Part now have plastic assemblies so don't transfer over easily. I need a pump that will supply the SR20DET well enough, so possibly a random one won't do the job.
I got a Bosch pump (iirc) off here a while back (snaked you for it I think) so was going to mount it outside the tank so it could be serviced/swapped more easily. I'll probably take a look and see if it can be attached to the current in-tank assembly though. It's all a hassle!

Funny, I'm considering moving from in-tank to external.

Well can rule out loom. The current setup is a cut down crown loom spliced to a supra ecu. Will investigate what you are getting at Roger but im pretty sure that would also have a pin out on the ecu for vss... hmmm.
I might just also ignore it
Need to figure out why my fuel pump sounds like it belongs in s nascar. Fuck it is loud. And gotten louder.
How many fuel pumps have you killed now?
I killed one years ago when the return line had a kink in it. Now I just kill them through lake of use while immersed in old gas.

Good to see it's being revived.
What actually happened to the oil pump? Scored housing letting pressure bleed off?

I believe you can get it certified with different size wheels (two sets anyway) if you have them available at cert time.
-
Any experience on aftermarket wiring kits? I'm rethinking my plan of building my own loom up for the SR Morris. The injection wiring is already working but i need something for lights etc.
-
Both widened stock steels and adapters will require certification to be legal. so that will cost some money. Probably both cheaper over all than custom wheels though.

Have been filling/sanding the lower tailgate. Messy business.
Started cleaning up the SS trim from the windscreen. A pox on the PO that used silicone sealer on it.
About 10% of the way there.
Also stripped the cowl panel.
Have got some new wheels, but need to work out if they will actually fit OK.

Haven't touched this much lately (i.e last 5 years). It's been lurking in the back part of the garage this year.
It was running when I put it back there, but the fuel pump expired again (pump runs but shoots pressurised fuel out the back of the pump instead of up to the injectors), so we pushed/towed/pushed it out of there and into the main part of the garage yesterday.
Double stacking.
Needs work.
Also acts as storage shelf.Current plant is to pull the front apart to make drawings of the front suspension for drawings so I can submit them to LVVTA.

Back to the importation topic, anyone have a contact bringing in stuff from US of A in containers?
I have spotted a couple of plastic bumpers I want and they will be too large for standy Youshop postage.
Krusin Kustoms in Palmy bring stuff in from the USA. Also http://www.kiwishipping.co.nz/

Last second hand radiator I bought leaked worse than the one I took out.
Cheap new chinese replacement is still working fine.
