BURN OUTS pre entry

a drag car show is being put together at short notice as we speak. It is to be indoors at 9 Windham place off of Barnes st in Seaview, Lower Hutt on the 8th & 9th of September. good cross section of drag cars to be seen. being put together to raise awareness of the sport and the up-coming 40th NZ drag Racing Nationals to be held in Masterton in the new year. all weather venue so mark the date.

September 29th Masterton motorplex burn out pad. From 3pm to 6pm Must have WOF or tech inspected Classes 4 4 cylinder 6 cylinder rotary V8

i can remeber this car before blair got it .it had a 4v cleveland big cam & cragers. Raced a few times at masterton drags. been 4 a few rides in it

Sorry no power figures. We started the engine with the map settings in the microtech & it went so well we just took it to the drags. Have run at masterton & taupo with different diff gears. 4:88 masteton 11.96 but wheel stayed on ground untill second gear then would carry a little ways down track. Taupo we changed to 4:30 - 11.98& was dumping clutch at 4500 and still picks the wheel up in second a bit of a hand full in second it gets all floaty blue one sold the day ya saw it in taupo, guy chased it all day with cash in pocket .came home with no car so got ma ass in to gear on this one Have 4 other cars in verious states going to dyno after new t60 turbo goes on

Go get it tec inspected easy as thats what im doing. Im running no rego no wof just tech Tech fee $30.00 ad min $20.00 i think from memory Once tech pass you dont need to be scrutted on the day and it last 4 a whole season Your local LVV certifier should be able to point you in the direction of a tec inspector cheers NICK PS you could always buy a NZDRA rule book. If ya talking bout the blue hatch i sold it while racing in taupo but have a 1980 4 door hatch in the build. Started the engine today series 4 13b turbo,steel bell housing,corona 4 speed.hilux 4:88 lsd with hoosers, Engine to be dynoed next week , Matt black cause running out of time to finish So yer ill be there fingers crossed but looking all good so far

Who wants to go 1/8 mile drag racing anyways on an unprepared surface when you can get all hot & sticky at MMP

Whos running the drags over there. Obviously they have considered that the drags on in masterton wont effect their event. Our dates are on the website nice & early so im sure they would have checked first YER RIGHT

Wheel stander goes full 1/4 on back wheels Sparks everywhere at over 100 mph. At nite Mastertons race dates are set at the end of each season & cant be changed due to the other users on the areodrome. We set our dates early as but the calanders pertty full & some dates clash

Is that the first time he raced in nz cause thats what the anouncer said.First run he did an observation pass and went hard as hell got off the line hard got out of shape a little,headed 4 the concret blocks on the right hand side but kept his foot up it and drove out of it. real coooool. Nice car & fast
