I have a Mk4 Diesel golf.
goes hard 4 wat it iz..
but yea ~30,000km of trouble free motoring to date. and pretty fun to drive on country roads.
I like it but it appears golf's can be hit and miss. buying second hand means you always run the risk of it being thrashed in a previous life.
