    Adjustable suspension / struts question - had a search but couldn't find the thread / comment I thought I'd read a long time ago.

    I'm looking at (in the near future) to be buying some FC rx7 adjustable suspension.  From searching around various websites, there's a lot to choose from;

    XYZ = $1700

    Lines Racing = $1100

    Hakon = $1600

    Yellowspeed = $1600

    D2 = $1700

    BC Golds = $1800

    Max Pro = $2300

    Plus I'm sure there's so many other more well-known Japanese brands out there for sale also.

    My question is - any of the above brands known to be not great/shit/not cert-able?  Do I just purchase roughly based on price?  Avoid the cheap one and stick with the mid-range?

    Auto Fortune seem to have a good reputation and price seems reasonable

  2. Have dealt a little with Speedfactor and they always seem pretty onto it, looking at going with their weld on coilover suspension they advertsise on Trademe, anyone had experience with their suspension stuff? I think they use XYZ brand, probably not the best stuff in the world but realistically the car will do maybe 1-2000kms a year, I think they do other brands also.

    The oil fill bung is hard up against the cross member, custom tools and flexible fingers are required to remove the bung and fill it with fresh oil.

    Mechanics deserve medals, what a fucking fuck around, modern cars are shit.

    If you don't mind a few extra wires running across your bay, just wire in later type external modules, and mount by coils - far cheaper do the same job

    If you do that you may as well get 3 (2 leading 1 trailing) and use 2 triggered by leading pickup and connect to a coil each with HT lead direct to spark plug for direct fire on leading plugs. Trailing per factory.

    Are these people serious? It’s a cool car but $50k? As if fake rx's couldn’t be worth more. I’ve never understood the attraction to these. Yeah they’re lightweight blah blah blah but $50k? I’d stretch the budget another $10k and buy an r35 gtr.

    After the GFC there was actually and increase in classic car sales volume. With people thinking, why not put your money into something that sits in your driveway and goes up in value. As opposed to the stock market that was a bit poos.

    Also, interest rates are pretty low, so if there was ever a time to tick up a $100k 3 coupe, now is the time!

    Now nor ever is the time to tick up a 100k tin box/beeny babies etc

    "fresh rebuild" - you gotta be ready for the 'Got receipts' questions

    lol

    Might be an idea to take a video of engine being rebuilt and stamp the rotor housings with some kind of identiying mark

    I'm sure the vast majority of the population are blissfully unaware of that. Such a big hooha was made about lead but no mention was made of what was to replace it.

    I think there are studies showing a lower IQ in (blardy) townies from the lead fuel days?

    /In NA rotary you'd think 91 err day as the compression chamber is physically separated from intake? Also 91 has more energy per L just less detonation resistance??
