  1. mate im not here to prove anyfing to you. and im not gonna spend more money on dyno runs than i did on the whole car! that pinto in da pic is just standard apart from the exhaust manifold, t3 turbo, and the other carb manifolds. std Cr = 9.2:1. as for the other turbo pinto well the pistons are cosworth items standard from sierras. dishd tops. standard rods and crank and if you knw as much as you think u do then u will also know that the cosworth rods are 1.5mm longer than standard, this lowers tdc. 2.5mm copper decomp plate. fly cut cumbustion chamber. mild port. running lem. sitting on the boost limit for an lem. rs legacy injectors ( anyone knw how many CC they are? cheers) a

  2. do u run a link rt? im running 20psi at the moment and its going good but i think the bov is bouncing on its seat after it opens and that kinda fucks it up til it stops. i wanna run more boost but i will need a 2 or 3 bar map senser for that link only does 1.5 bar. if you wanna email me leadedeke@hotmail.com cheers

  3. well its suck through with a twin throat sidedraft. Took the origional carb off and made a connecting manifold between there and the turbo. took out the oil pressure switch and run an oil feed from there. thats bout it. it did blow a head gasket tho after the boost sum how got turnd up lol

  4. hey nah iv only done one conversion of that type. It is in my scratch built lotus 7 replica. Effortless performance :!: im only new to this site. Done a bit of turboing, no expert on it tho, couple of cortinas and a ride on lawnmower. currently doing an efi cortina turbo.

  5. afew tips. type 9 boxs bolt straight up to zetec, even my mondeo clutch had the same spline as the type 9 input shaft. just need to put a spigot bearing in the end of the crank. Be sure to get a manual engine not a auto then convert! other wise the crank angle senser doesent line up with the teath on the flywheel. Put a 1600 zetec water pump on it off a escort, it spins clock wise. this way you can ditch the power steer tnd ac pumps but still use the factory tensioner and use the factory alt bracket. cut the top off the alt bracket where the old fwd engine mount was. Run a bit of stainless pipe from the thermostat at the back of the engine up to the radiator. make up some headers and a new inlet manifold to accept 4age quad throttle boddies, run a link computer and you have a reliable 170hp. any questions or want zetec work done email me leadedeke@hotmail.com

  7. Dont turbo it. Same advice I give to everyone

Work the 2 litre. Will give you more than enough power in a car that I cant imagine is that heavy and itll sound far nicer

i turboed my cortina in a weekend a few months ago and it went hard, ran 9 psi boost on stabdard everything apart from it was a suck through with a single twin choke side draft. only blew a h/g when we got it up to about 16psi. has a T3 with steel internals.
