Photo less update
New flywheel and twin plate tilton installed.
I had issues with the head lifting so I striped the motor down and did some mods to the head. Had it back on dyno and its a good 20hp to 30hp up over the whole rev range. So that's good, no lifting either.
Next race is weekend before Xmas at manfeild.

If she starts and runs then quickly get it to the dyno asap haha.
Where are you based?
-
Change master fuel to about 40 and dry the spark plugs out and report back
-
2 sync errors is fairly typical.
Deft check injector resistance with it unplugged. You want about 13 ohms
As said voltage is weirdly low. Normally Ecuador would shut down at this low voltage

Are you at the South pole? -4 water temp??
-
Basically you have a fuel table,
Then there is the master fuel number.
The master is the multiplier for the fuel table.
So if you double the injector size then a good place to start is halving the master fuel.
-
Also Has any welding been carried out on the motor or car with out the Ecu being compleaty unplugged? The V5 has a tendency to loose its memory and resort back to factory settings with a voltage spike. A screen shot will tell me yay or nah
-
Where are you based? Just fluffing with the idle won't do much.
12v both sides is normal if the injector is still plugged in or another injector on the same channel is still plugged in. A v5 only has 2 channels.
Put up a screen shot of your fuel base map.

Hey guys. I will be in chch tonight and need to find a place to swap tyres onto rims. There's 10 to do and we can do it our selves or how ever you want to do it and can donate some beers t the fridge. Any takers? It will be about 7pm when we need to do this.
If you want to look at all the rally cars look up the silver fern rally website!
Please contact me on 0274655927
Txt is better as we have limited coverage as we are racing over from Westport today.
Cheers guys! Hope someone can help!

Such fun !
My question today. I realise each engine is different but what sort of cruise afrs do you fellas aim for. Let's say 4 or 5th gear at 50 kph on the flat. I notice when I go too lean it starts hunting so I'm around low 15s.
I wonder what factory ecus aim for.
Just go as lean as you can before you notice it.
My escort (turbo pinto) does about 15.5 at 100kph in top and about 16.5 at about 50kph in 4th.
Never go that lean under load obvisously and you need the accel enrich to be pretty good to make it wake up nicely

Should we all convert back to telegrams and newspapers while we are at it?
Efi throttle body's
Like atom g4+
Etc
Way of the future.

Pic of engine would help is.
If it's a cross flow Kent then it's only one of the most popular engines ever built so there's a lot of info out there

You parted off 0.2mm accurately? That's pretty impressive TBH
It must suck when it flies of the parent metal and blows away in the wind though Ha. I didn't know one could part off steel that thin
Need nice sandvik parting blades to do that though.
-
Just made one at 0.2mm thick. How thin you need it?
-
Lol ya don't lathe the shim steel. You machine up a tube with desired ID and OD from solid or hollow bar then part it off at the desired thickness.

Would take sweet fuck all to make if you know the size. Won't be a thing you can buy as you require.

Iv never seen this done before, but it worked in my head so I did it.
Partly Welded up the water port holes close to firing ring to give the head extra strength here, then I cnc
Machined the face, but I put a slight step to increase the clamping force on the gasket around the cylinder, look closely at the last pic.
