What he said. Are KP shocks eyelets/bushes on each end or do they have a thread at the top?
There are quite a few options for rear shocks, but it's a lot easier if you have a buddy at a suspension shop.

Got told that Brian Howatt does them for the 4wd boys. You've already dealt with him eh?
Going to get new axles made by him in the next couple of weeks.

Duct tape works fine. Lightweight and easy to remove . Just have to check it every few weeks.... and make sure you apply it on a dry day.

If it was me I'd do brakes.... Seems a wasted exercise to have 300hp and no stopping power.

Also, aint N/A forester's 6 cylinders?
Nup, EJ20.
Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh, driving one, and then seeing the facelifted model... Then we'll see if it's worth buying.

It's fine on the race car... but that's not the greatest way to judge a muffler. Sounds good between 5000 and 8000RPM.
-
^^ I'd drive it.

^^^ Looks the same as the Flow fast ones but with grayer paint.

^^ It was me. Just chucked it together to see if I could make it look like my car.....
Get simon to do one .

Would be way meaner slammed on 14" dish.... Although the chassis rails might end up under ground.
I like it, and think that the engine won't be too bad. My mum has an NA forrester and it goes surprisingly well for a heavy 4wd with a small N/A engine.... I'm sure there will be developments on the engine that make it better than your average poverty pack subaru - and hopefully it has more balls down low.
You can see why they did it though, a Boxer engine sits low and can be mounted quite far back, which meant they could have a low bonnet line while still conforming to frontal impact laws. So long as it handles well I'll be happy.

I think it's a good plan, and so long as it was put together well it would be viable-as.
If we chose the right range of cars and arranged them in the right order it would be fairly popular to the outside market. Something a bit different, and halfway between original and modified old cars.....
P.S - Will this be being sold with an issue of Pinto Magazine?

That thing is awesome cause it's fast.
..... Wings like that on a car that isn't fast is a waste of machinery and will power .

What sort of loud is it If you've got a rasp issue then get a fluted coby and it'll quieten it down a fair bit. Mine is loud but is 3" and only the 1 muffler.....

Fixed my radiator fins with a propane torch and big stick of solder. It should work for relocating the inlet/outlet as well.
-
Would this be strong enough to hold pressure?
Should hold pressure no worries. Cooling systems usually build up about 13psi so there wont be too much stress.... and that's the way all the old geezers seem to do it.

Go for a flowmaster type with offset entry/exit. You should be able to fit it as a rear mufler cause there is a lot of room under the boot floor. Easiest option for you would be offset entry with a centred exit, cause then you won't have to change the U bend and will be able to shove it out the back with a U bend. That's the way I did it for Totemo's car and the same as all my ones have been in the past.
Basically like that if it helps. Never been too loud on my NA setups.

..... How is that lancer so slammed! Hard to get it on a jack? .
Looks good man, how are the headers coming along?
-
Yeh, just cut them off and braze onto the other side. Piece of piss.....
Looks good though man! That does look like an ignitor, but couldn't tell you if it was dual channel.

This Thursday?

Looking at the pics they'd probably sit flush with 25mm spacers. But if I were you I'd sell the 17's and use the money for decent 14's or 15's.

Put Datsun in the title and KY will read...

Hey guys, Im actually curious, how does one get a wider stance on a car?? Is it just by the offset of the wheels? Im talking about 70mm wider each side, so going 3" wider mags isn't really practical. However, I guess if you have 6" mags with a 0pt offset then that will give you your 3" extra width?
Are there any other methods of doing this? 70mm spacers aren't exactly a good idea.
Regards
Dave.
Whats the offset on your 17's? If they are 40p offset and you went to the same width wheel with a 0 offset then the wheel would sit 40mm further out. If you want 70mm each side you'll have to run 8's with -25 or something silly and it'll look like a dirt track car.

Showed my old man the pic with the $2 coin and the reaction was "Is he stupid? The sump won't last 2 seconds" - or words to that effect .
