If you can transport manfeild down there I'm in!
-
Haha cool, I'll let you know if I'm down there and will ask rodney if it's OK.
-
Howat will be the best price by far from my experience.
-
Depending on my situation we could transfer the monthly meet to Roskilda autos to watch an AE86 get tuned?
-
I reckon get the centres taken back to 0 offset (2" further in) and you might be getting close.
Edit*** And if you get an inch taken out of the width you'll be able to cert it on those toyo 225/45/14's which would be a bonus.

Meh, no biggie.

Ha... Should have got you cats to drive my AW down.

So, it runs http://img532.imageshack.us/flvplayer.swf?f=Mmov00867
The extractors are half done and look choice! They still require 2-1's and need to be welded up.
Exhaust:
Fingers crossed for the weekend.

for fucks sakes
this is one of the biggest threads in the newschool section and not once has it delivered.
It has delivered heaps.

**Collective told you so's arrive***
Did you try turning the wheel lock to lock?
-
I think you can buy slotted DBA ones - most brake places can do them. Otherwise just get and engineer to slot them for you.
-
Im off back to look at Historic racing.
Why not get into winter club racing? I'm pretty sure the Auckland car club run a class that allows no cages and we do the same in the Manawatu (provided the cars aren't in the fastest class).

The engine bay looks lovely Chris. Good work!
-
Pretty sure there's at least 1 silvertop 4age in there?
It also stated no flares... So the widebody ones must count as replicas.
It's a really cool series, and will stay that way as long as it stays relatively small IMO.

Anyone know if theseres a RWD box or bellhousing that will bolt to a 6G72 V6
The answer is pretty much W5* toyota.
Phils RWD V6 tri-diamond project here.

I actually think they look better than if they were all silver.
-
The new wheels look really good, and I think black looks good with that lip... But rim colours are easy to change.
What's the width/offset of those?
-
or has anyone pulled off no windows with an AW?
I've seen pictures of one done in that style ^^. They were in a race series and called it the AW11 "speedster". I thought it was cool and haven't been able to find it since . Would make for a lightweight autocross car.

Pity that car looks like shit eh? May be convincing otherwise.

Extractors are done. I'll do the exhaust and the rest of the extractors tomorrow and if my dyno man can make time we'll be tuning tomorrow as well!
Shit I'm tired.
Thanks to Jase the engineer for being fucken awesome about this... He would have been at work at 6.30am and stayed working on my shitter after hours until 1am... But he'll probably still beat me at the race meeting in the weekend .
